| Hexenherz 07/21/20 3:55:19 PM #3 | Unless you know 100% for certain they're taking you to an inhabited unit, I wouldn't bother. Most of the time they're going to take you to a demo unit or a unit that was just recently vacated. The odds are greater that a member of the maintenance staff, the management, or some other apartment seeker will find it sooner than any tenant that can give you insight. Having lived at a few different apartments, you just have to assume there's going to be some level of noise, some of it uncomfortable (like when your neighbors are tenderizing meat for a half hour at a time, in the literal and sexual euphemism senses of the phrase). Especially if your unit is on the side of a busy roadway. Then check stuff like crime rates in the area and read reviews from a few different sources. Outside - mosquitoes during the day, cicadas at night (especially when they kamikaze your house when you're just trying to enjoy a cigarette outside, things are terrifying). Inside - flies or ants. So far this year (knock on wood) we haven't had the annual fly infestation yet at least. There was even question about whether those police forces were even Ukrainian or had Russian government affiliation.
