They practically were begging for me to come back and I explicitly told them I wanted a path to promotion. Which they swore up and down they would address and work with me on. We developed an entire plan for the year that I stuck to. They came up with a leveling guide that outlined specifics and Ive been doing exactly what it says. But the merger happened and now they are saying the other company wont approve it and wont give me any real reason why. Its because Im going on mat leave but they cant say that. Instead Im told to try again next year. Nope, not going to keep grinding that hamster wheel. I gave them a second chance and Im not giving a third. |

I know for a fact that their pay is much lower than ours (I recruit for them too now). Their bonus structure is also much lower. Probably just see us as a money sink. Which is funny because they wanted us because we do better than them with our products and have a better brand. |

The company we merged with calls the shots now and they have explicitly told HR that there will be no counteroffers to people leaving. I know because I was close to one of the HR managers, who also quit a couple of weeks ago. Also, anyone who is going to a competitor is now let go the next day, even if they give a two week notice. And they arent paid. I know several people who have been with the company 5-10 years who put in their two week notice and were let go next day. I think new company wants to push everyone out and replace them with cheaper labor tbh. |

I think my own company worries I will leave and thats why they are choosing not to promote me now. Which just makes me want to leave when I didnt before. |

He knows I go on leave soon but still wanted to chat to see if Id want to join their company when I get back. I think all the local companies are hearing about what a shit show my company is now and are like sharks in the water lol |

My husband is crap at sharing feelings so therapy was a platform for him to open up about other things too and feel heard. And while some of the things he shared were hurtful to me, I also learned not to take it as criticism. So now instead of building resentment toward each other, were able to share things openly. I havent done individual counseling but Im sure its just as beneficial. My husband did do some and it also helped him. |

Maybe then she will want to join and they will help you with how best to approach her on the subject or deal with the behavior. My husband had a shit job years after mine and ended up doing the same thing I did to him. Only he didnt try to adjust his behavior at all when Id talk to him about it. We started marriage counseling (for that and other reasons) and one thing the therapist suggested was to each take 15 minutes at the end of the day to talk to each other about it. We each got 15 minutes and that was it. |

I know my husband had a hard time too because all Id do is complain about work. He brought it up to me and told me I was pushing him away. At first I was upset thinking he wasnt supportive but then came to understand his point of view. So I changed jobs and changed my behavior. |

| Cleo_II 02/09/21 9:49:22 PM #6 | I usually keep it simple with just extra virgin olive oil, squeeze of lemon juice, salt, pepper plus whatever veggies. Ill sometimes make a light vinaigrette with some kind of vinegar like balsamic, apple cider or champagne vinegar. Add some Dijon to it maybe. If I want to get fancy Ill make a chipotle honey vinaigrette from scratch. I never use store bought ones. ETA: usually have spinach, arugula or mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, avocado, cucumbers. Maybe some toasted pecans or almond slices. Sometimes I make fattoush which is fresh mint, tomato, lettuce, lemon juice, onions, sumac and crispy pita slices. |

Then last week randomly showed it to me and asked. And I loved it lol. So hes like Well Merry late Christmas and happy early Valentines! I wanted to make him a nice lobster dinner but havent been able to stay on my feet for too long and had some contractions I had to go to the hospital for. So I guess Ill get him a card. |

Baby will be born but it will be a party to celebrate her with just family and good food. I dont see this need to get excessive about baby showers/gender reveals and Ive gone through years of fertility struggles to get pregnant. |

I had heard that term a lot on infertility forums I lurked on Reddit. Didnt associate it right away. It seems that the chances for cancer are low but still worrisome there are any chances at all. It seems like the earlier they catch it the better. |

Its complicated so insurances can make the most money.Its sad. Just calling places and getting estimates was a battle in itself. Calling and getting transferred multiple times with long hold times. Id talk to 3-4 people before they sent me to the right one. The first hospital warned me about the anesthesiologist cost but the second didnt so another person might never know. It seriously took me most of the day and not everyone has time for that shit. Also apparently if my daughter needs care then they bill her and not me. Wtf. |

| Cleo_II 02/05/21 10:22:17 AM #1 | You go and have no way of knowing what will be billed or wont. Whats covered and whats not. Then you get bills trickling in over months and sometimes years. I once got burned going to an in network place and getting a big bill for the anesthesiologist who wasnt in network. I spent all day trying to get ahead of it yesterday by getting estimates from two local hospitals for giving birth. Then they tell me that the cost of the doctor and anesthesiologist (for epidural) arent covered. They bill separately. Never thought of the epidural at all. Doctor estimate was easy to get but I had to also call the anesthesiologists offices to find out if theyre in network and then called my insurance to ask if epidurals are covered under my plan. Got it all done and know what to roughly expect (can all change if I need a c section though). But who knows what else they will charge. Why must it be so complicated? |

When he passed, my aunt got so many flowers from so many people it filled the whole house. He was one of those few people who touched everyone around him. I miss him so much. Were painting the inside. The original paint color is this light cream I really hate and Ive been wanting light/warm grey for years. My husband painted the bedrooms but not the rest and there are still splotches all over from when he tested colors. Like every bathroom has a bunch of test colors on the walls. For years. It looks terrible lol. But its a expensive to get it painted and so long as we had this debt he refused to let me hire anyone. |
