This is one of the many problems with the Bible, especially when it is interpreted literally. The authors did not have the foresight to consider future -- more civilized -- societies.

I think the argument that Predator has elements of horror is based on the gruesome nature of the deaths combined with the unnerving musical score combined with the creepy jungle atmosphere. Not full-on horror genre, but sprinkles?

Yeah, man. I honestly feel like she would've been down for some action if we had gotten the chance. I started to get a little chubby in the cubby if you know what I mean, and I think she must've felt it when she was grinding on me because she looked up at me and grinning said "you got somethin' goin' on down there?" Definitely a missed opportunity.

Sure did! Everyone kept compliment me on my portrayal. Once I put the mask on I was totally in character. Never uttered a word to anyone. Moved like Michael, walked like Michael, etc. One of our good friends from Jacksonville, a cosplayer named Kevin Mosley (who is, like, always the life of the party) decided to play along with me and we had some funny moments, see below:

It was Halloween themed in general. It was held at a nice private manor that is said to have a history of hauntings, and the groom (my best friend) asked me to type up some synopses for the more eerie and legendary segments from Unsolved Mysteries; he printed those out onto scrolls and burnt the edges so it looked old-timey, and placed them on the tables for the dinner. It was pretty cool. :)

Not necessarily just in your work environment, but in general. I'm always intrigued by (1) working as fast as possible; and (2) figuring out ways or techniques that can allow me to speed up my productivity even more.

Examples:

• Instead of sleeping for 8 hours and then tanning for an hour during the day; sleep one hour less and use the hour you spend tanning in the sun as a nap to catch up on the lost hour of sleep
• When watching YouTube videos, adjust the speed to 1.25x (or even 1.5x if the difference isn't too drastic). Over time this will save you many minutes and eventually hours of free time.
• When going to the supermarket envision in your mind the items you have to get and create a mental map of the most efficient way to get in and out of the store, so you're not backtracking a bunch of times; enter at one side, be done by the time you get to the other end

Would that actually work in real life? If the higher-ranking officer announces that rank is not an issue, and then got into a fight with an inferior-ranking soldier, the latter wouldn't get in trouble for tussling with a higher-ranking officer?
