Perhaps the most well crafted 40k media is the Astartes series on YouTube. It's not very long, currently sitting at 5 episodes (edit: worth mentioning the 5 episodes is a single contiguous story that has concluded). It operates via a show-not-tell method of storytelling, so it's not the best way to immerse yourself in 40k as a newcomer; but I don't care how little you know about 40k, watching the Space Marines operate in Astartes is just ridiculous, and should serve to get anyone hyped up to learn more about the universe.
