Depends on how many gems you have I guess. It's always worth going all in on one banner eventually I think, but you have to look at her sets first. Her range is kinda meh imo because it's so easy for her to not be able to attack. But if her set does some crazy support stuff where you get invincible for 5 turns or some shit then she's probably gonna be the best unit ever

I have about enough for 8 large crates (so 40 pulls in total) so I'll take a look through what she has to offer and see if it's worth pulling for.

I still haven't cleared chapter 7 in Battle Divas yet, but from what I've been reading, it sounds like things get a lot tougher in the story later on.

Also, I saw on the official Facebook page that Kagura Mai is going to be the next character to have a dedicated banner. I don't have her yet, and I haven't even touched her in Infinite War yet either. Is she worth spending some gems on to see if I can get a couple of her weapons or maybe a completed equipment set? Or should I wait until someone else gets the focus?

On the topic of shows I really wanted to like a lot more than I actually ended up liking them, I finished watching Regalia: The Three Sacred Stars today. Regalia was a mix of some things (the fun interactions between the main characters and the awesome mecha battles) being done very well and some things (the mess of a story and a really weak and dull main villain) being done very poorly. It was a mixed bag, and while there was more good than bad, the bad was still too noticeable to give this show anything more than a 7/10.

My final thought to sum it all up: Most of this show did or tried to do, Granbelm did better. If you like mecha anime and/or action shows with cute girls in the cast, go watch Granbelm. But if you've seen that already and are in the mood for another similar show, or if you'd prefer a more light-hearted and less gloomy show than Granbelm ended up being, then you'll probably get enough enjoyment out of Regalia for it to be worth watching.

I just finished watching Angels of Death (Satsuriku no Tenshi)

I haven't seen a show with a plot this stupid since Lost Village (Mayoiga)

Angels Of Death was one of those shows that I really wanted to like more but just couldn't bring myself to. The episodes where they had to solve a puzzle/mystery to get out of the room to the next floor (which I'm pretty sure were all based on levels from the game the anime was adapting) were the most entertaining ones, and I also think that Dallas Reid was fucking amazing as Zack in the English dub. But the overall story and the characters outside of Zack and Rachel were so mediocre and forgettable that the show as a whole just felt... blah.

If you guys want to start a new mobile game then I recommend King of Fighters All-Star. Right now they are giving one of the best characters(Orochi) for free along with all his upgrades. With him you could clear about 90% of the content of the game

The game is very fun, too. It's a beat em up game with KoF characters and they had a ton of guest characters from Tekken, Samurai Showdown and WWE.

I mentioned it in this topic last month when the ridiculous WWE crossover was announced, and I've heard good things about it, but I don't see myself ever playing it. I just don't really have an interest in the game or the franchise.

Oh dang you got one of his knockback ones? Knockback is op in this game lol. Make sure to keep in mind the attacking order is the deployment order. Before I knew that, I'd just have Fran or Sigurd knock back ppl out of range of my attacks.

Yeah, I got his Call Of Destiny weapon. I quickly learned to put him in the last slot (or 2nd-to-last if I also have Nightengale healing) so his attacks come after the others. I also have Fran's Broken Soul weapon that can push back enemies, but not by as much as Sigurd's weapon.

I'll just say now though that a new weapon is usually gonna feel underwhelming because they need a few lvls in them to do relevant damage. Like lvl 1 to about lvl 5 or so is almost double the current damage of that unit when they just got the weapon. Doesn't help the Core weapons are slightly weaker than the rollable 5* counterparts. They have to have some other perks to make them worth their while.

Their main purpose is to make them 3*+, but there are really good ones like Nightingale's or Fuma's

I'll keep that in mind. So I think I should aim for a forbidden weapon for one of my existing 2-star characters that doesn't have a 5-star weapon yet.

YES! It took me over a dozen tries with nearly as many different combinations, but I finally managed to beat 6-7 after it gave me so much trouble! I did it with Sarah + Angela using their Ice weapons (for the part break) along with Nightengale + Sigurd for support. Me pulling that weapon for Sigurd last night was actually even more of a blessing than I thought, because his knockback keeping the Silent Black Lord away from the healing tiles is the only reason why I finally managed to win and clear this big hurdle in my way.

When you start a new account, you get 20 chances at the opening roll to pull a 5-star weapon and a character with it, and the chances of getting a weapon in the opening roll seemed to be fairly high. It only took me 7 of the 20 chances to pull a weapon for (IMO) best girl Ashanti, and I pulled a weapon in at least half of those. So the chances of you not getting a single satisfactory roll in those 20 chances are slim.

But if you somehow go all 20 of those rolls without a satisfactory one, then making a new account to start over to get another shot isn't easy at all. To start over, you would have to make an entirely new Facebook or Google Play account (just making a new e-mail address isn't enough) to link it to because it's impossible to unlink your previous game account from whatever Facebook or Google account you used to start.

Ch 8 >.>. For the forbidden weps, I think if you have good stuff for Sigurd and Ashanti, you should go for a later game carry that you rolled a weapon for. Helen's is really good I think

Right now I have:

Ashanti at 3 stars (her 2 default weapons plus a 5-star weapon)
Sarah, Nightengale, Fuma, Angela, Shion, Cersei, and Vel at 2 stars (all with only their default weapons and no 5 star ones)
Sigurd, Julia, and Fran at 1 star (because I pulled 5-star weapons for them)

Assuming I don't pull anything else, would I be better off getting my first forbidden weapon for one of those 2-star characters who only have their default weapons, one of the 1-stars that I already have a 5-star weapon of, or to unlock a late-game character that I don't have at all yet?

Yeah if you're stuck, making a Forbidden Weapon or seeing if you can beat one of the core weapons dungeon should be the next step. The 3* is a pretty big leap, and Ashanti by herself isn't really much of a carry.

Yeah, looks like my next step is to play more Infinite War and try to get materials for a forbidden weapon. Not sure whose I should go with though...

The Legacy Of The Duelist video games actually confirm who won that duel. In those games, you play through various duels from the stories of every Yugioh anime, first from the side of the character who won the duel in canon and then you can do a "reverse duel" from the loser's side.

*GX and LOTD spoilers* You play that last duel in the GX story from Jaden's side first, so that means Jaden won the duel in canon.

I agree with every single thing you said except this. CoD WW2's multiplayer after the overhaul update is great. It's boots-on-the-ground but (outside of a couple of shitty maps) it's more fast-paced like BO2 rather than slow and campy.

It's a given that they'll add more. The question is how many and how often. It's possible that they might go with a smaller but more fleshed out and recognizable cast, only rarely adding new characters and preferring to release new weapons for the existing cast.

Is Battle Divas gonna last long?

I think it will, and considering that this is only the second gacha game (the first being Girls' Frontline) that's ever managed to hook me without being a part of an existing franchise that I was already a fan of, I certainly hope it will.

- the character designs are great

- the gameplay is fun and strategic even in tough levels while being simplistic enough for auto-battles to still be useful for grinding easier levels

- the whole "every character can be acquired through normal gameplay, no gacha needed" thing means that the "I didn't pull my waifu when she was in rate-up so I may as well quit" scenario never happens and the more casual "just pull for my waifu" type of players are less likely to quit

- the deep weapon/equipment system still provides an incentive for the more serious "rank high and aim to be the best" type of players to whale for an advantage in PvP modes while not interfering in the "just pull for my waifu" players' enjoyment of the game

- the weapon/equipment system also allows for existing characters to receive future buffs in the form of a new weapon or equipment set, meaning that everyone's waifu can theoretically avoid/lessen being power-crept out of viability by a future buff

- Infinite War is an awesome and unique mode that lets people try out a variety of characters without needing to unlock them, and it also provides another way for the "rank high and aim to be the best" players to show off their skills by going as far as they possibly can

The only major flaw I could see in player retention would be if too many players get stuck unable to make progress in the story and aren't patient enough to grind and upgrade their characters, weapons, and gear to overcome it. If players feel like they can't even reach the later content without spending money, they'll probably quit, especially if their most desired waifu is one of the late chapter characters like Celeste, Helen, or Fran. I'm at that story wall myself right now, but I'm being patient and grinding to push through it.

With GFL, I made it well into the game's second year from launch before I got bored of it and quit. I think Battle Divas could potentially have that same kind of staying power for me once I clear that story hurdle and get a good team built up.

Deny to a certain extent. Not all cops are bad people, that's hard to believe since the departments are actually pretty diverse in who they employ. The part where I think it's true is that the good cops don't do anywhere near enough to prevent the bad ones from doing harm. They become complicit by sitting idly by and letting it happen without screaming to the heavens about it. All cops aren't bad, but even a lot of the good ones aren't good enough.

This. I believe there are plenty of good ones, but they're either not doing enough to stop the bad ones or they're being punished when they try to.

This is the main thing. The police force needs to be held accountable by someone from the outside looking in who can't be affected by the so-called "blue code of silence" or whatever it is. After the protests in Ferguson (due to the Michael Brown shooting) a few years ago, the city established a Civilian Review Board meant to supervise the police force from outside and look at citizens' complains against them.

Making a law, whether at the state or federal level, saying that having such a review board (or some sort of external supervision from outside the police force) is mandatory for every city to have and enforce fully would be a big step forward. The police force is clearly not doing a good enough job at policing itself, so external intervention is necessary. Police brutality will never be fully stopped, but I'm sure there would be quite a bit less if the officers were facing an actual threat of prison time every single time they try to get too rough and kill someone that didn't need to die.

The only thing I remember from Nanoha is a lot of friendship and a lot of beam shooting. Only saw the original and A's though. Madoka (original) is still my favorite.

Lyrical Nanoha gets even crazier in StrikerS and the Reflection/Detonation movies. Definitely try to find the time to watch those if you enjoyed A's.

I've only seen the first season of Yuki Yuna, but I enjoyed it. It doesn't do "dark psychological story with cute magical girls suffering horrific emotional trauma" quite as well as Madoka Magica, and it doesn't do "hot-blooded action with cute magical girls kicking ass" quite as well as Lyrical Nanoha or Symphogear, but it does both pretty well and has some unique things to set itself apart from those other series.
