Cal or whoever is hip to the series, what's the conflict in PreCure? Do they fight monsters or other magical girls?

It's mainly a monster/conflict of the week setup (one of the evil generals shows up and creates a monster out of a problem a minor character is having that episode, Precure defeat/purify it and help the minor character solve their problem, rinse and repeat) but there's always an overarching storyline in the background and a long-term goal the Precure are working towards. Some series twist the formula a little (a few have "dark" Cures like Yes 5 and Smile, a few have random mooks along with the big monsters like Heartcatch and Star Twinkle) but don't deviate too much from it.

The selling point of any Precure series is the characters (what they're like, how they develop across the story, etc.) and the action scenes.

I don't know if you've ever seen Shirobako but it's basically that but way better/more fun. It's a look inside the production process of anime from the perspective of people who are genuinely in love with the form. Except instead of the usual meta of watching an animation animate, your watching their creations come to life real-time.

It's just a really fun exaggerated slice of life. It reminds me of rugrats or other Saturday morning cartoons where the characters get really imaginative and simple everyday problems/interactions become so much more

I haven't seen Shirobako, but the way you described the show does sound interesting. And that clip was fun. I might check it out.

I'd much rather they use this last run for Edge to have new matchups instead of re-hashing old matchups we've seen before. They can maybe have Edge in a promo against an old rival like Hardy or Cena, but the matches themselves should be against he likes of Rollins, Styles, Owens, Ricochet, and other guys that he's never had the opportunity to face before.

They're overly safe now. That's why they retired him and Daniel Bryan in the first place.

This, and the same thing with Paige too. WWE doesn't fuck around when it comes to neck and spinal injuries, so Edge and Bryan likely had to prove they were fully recovered (those bumps Edge took in the Rumble match last night were part of proving it) to be allowed to come back.

He's not going to be wrestling full-time again, nor should he. But a part-time schedule to fulfill a few dream matches (hopefully him eliminating AJ Styles last night leads to something) before going out on his own terms is totally fine by me. It's what I've always dreamed of.

The Skorpion vz.61, especially the Black Ops 1 version with dual wield. I would demolish people with two of those and constantly put up 20+ kill games. My K/D ratio wasn't fantastic because I played super aggressive and also died a lot, but I'd rather go 28/22 than 8/2 any day.

I don't care what anyone says, the year AJ Styles debuted with that pop still sends chills down my spine. Regardless of what happened. I'd say the 2nd best would be the one where Edge returned.

These are my top two as well, but I'm a massive Edge mark so his return in 2010 is my overall favorite over Styles' debut.

Did you notice that adult Lala had twintails? It was like Hikaru and Lala started wearing their hair in each other's style as a way to always remember each other. Maybe not enough to turn on the yuri goggles, but it still feels significant.

I've only watched Smile to completion so I didn't know they did episodes that passed the torch off to the next series.

They actually only started doing that with Go Princess Precure (which came a few years after Smile) when that show passed the baton too... I think Maho Girls Precure was the one right after that one. Since that series, they've done it every year.

With the traditional "baton pass" epilogue episode airing today, Star Twinkle Precure has finally come to an end. This was the second Precure series I've watched as it aired, and the sixth I've watched overall. I've yet to watch any in the franchise that I'd call "bad", so even though I'd say that Star Twinkle is only the fourth best of the six I've seen, I still enjoyed it a lot. Alas, the time has come to pass the baton to the newest team...

You can use Primal Seedx2 to recycle Limiter Removal forever and give Arrow Express limitless attack points.

That involves a pretty convoluted combo though, right? You need to have Envoy of the Beginning on the field to be able to use Primal Seed, Macros Cosmos (which is limited to one) on the field to make it so that the spells get banished when you use them, and at least one Machine-type monster on the field to have their ATK doubled. plus the two Primal Seeds and one Limiter Removal in your hand to execute the combo.

It sounds awesome if you can pull it off, but how often will that actually happen?

I've gotten monsters to way stronger than 5000 ATK with effects. The strongest I've ever summoned was this guy at 24000 ATK in a deck built around dumping cards in the grave to power him up. I immediately got that 24000 ATK Magic Cylinder'd back into my face, but that's not the point.
