if the slogan went from defund the police to eliminating traffic violations, you'd go from 16% support to 61% support in no time flat.

even if the goal ultimately wouldn't be all of them being removed, a significant reduction there would be greatly welcomed to drivers.

Got a funny very local story on this one.

Residents were complaining about cars speeding through a local street and asked police to step enforcement on it. They assumed it was people living further away using it as a cutthrough.

Well, they got there wish and the police stepped up enforcement on the street and handed out a bunch of speeding tickets.

Turns out they were pretty much all were local residents living within a few blocks and they'd essentially asked the police to give tickets to their own households.

They agreed to cut back on that enforcement pretty quick shortly thereafter.

It's the fucking idiots out in public with no masks preventing us from being able to do anything because the virus is going to be around for a long while like this.

The problem with the open racism world we live in now is they are essentially able to run recruitment campaigns full of misinformation and click bait style draw in.

I bought most of my positions low knowing the markets would eventually fluctuate.

Not going to panic or try to predict anything, just going to wait it out.

Just keep in mind stop orders trigger a market order while a limit order will set a price for all shares.

So you may have a stop at x which triggers a market order of x+some number.

It's that the police are above the law because there isn't anyone else to police the police.

It goes further than that as well. When criminal action against the police comes into play, the only people in line to prosecute are people that depend on the police for 99.9% of their jobs.

If you aren't going to fight for your employees equally, don't.

You have to fight even for the bad ones because you lose your leverage when a similar situation pops up and you need to protect the good ones.

Police are not the only taxpayer funded union job. I am not about to support anything that prevents a set of employees from unionization.

We can talk reformation, restructuring, but the moment you decide to prevent a set of employees from unionizing you have lost me.

Corrik no one is arguing it isn't partly economic disparity, but the raw numbers go against pure economic distribution as the cause.

And no, it's not a type of crime thing. Whites hold this lead pretty much across the board aside murder, but murder is way less than 1% of all crime.

He hasn't actually hurt his campaign yet despite people trying to say this.

Part of it is these riots reminded me that we were deprived of our ability to riot for sports joy. That was supposed to be the last time we had riots in LA.

Theoretically, piling a massive amount of healthy young people on the streets for herd immunity strat is better than spreading it through a work environment of ages that are going to range up to the 60s

Neither is ideal of course, but i suppose we should look at upsides when we can.

Outdoors certainly hurts its ability to spread, but does not stop it. If you have say, thousands of people packed on a street, it's going to spread no matter what you do(masks still help).

Haven't seen an updated study but I believe research was also showing sunlight inhibited the virus' ability to stick to surfaces.

I push it no matter how many people it kills.

I get the feeling the worse things get in America the more likely it is for Trump to be re-elected, and that he might even realize this. So he's deliberately stalling out the whole pandemic knowing his supporters will blame it on China instead of him and will pine for him even more strongly.

No his numbers have been tanking.

At this point the Republican strategy is pretend the pandemic is over and never really existed in the first place.

November is a long way away, hard to say what things will look like then.

Wouldn't be surprised if he announces a vaccine or something on like November 1st, tbh.

If you respect that your dog is an animal, it should be leashed. Even the most well trained dog might chase a random rabbit one day into the street and get bit by a car.

You have to instill a fear of the street in them pretty much immediately.

My dog treats the street like it's lava unless on a leash and I've stepped into it first. Should never let your dog off leash unless you are 100 percent certain they won't go in the street.

I go out front with my dog unleashed but he's been trained how to behave out there since he was a puppy. He'll return or go back inside on command.

I also bring him back in if anyone is coming by that I'm not sure how he'll react towards.
