Toast, Virginia voted blue in 2016. Obama wasn't the exception, he was the tipping point. I don't know how Virginia will vote come November honestly, it's basically the northern area near DC and some major cities like Richmond and Charlottesville versus die hard Republican-no-matter-what voters. We did flip the state legislature blue though, so that's a good sign.

Yeah, voting against trump is a strong point in favor. I'm more interested in what they do in 2024 but I probably should have considered their recent swing more strongly. Either way I don't see it changing the point in any meaningful way. Biden still performed worse across the blue and purple states. Did best in red states. Then pulled away after warren stepped out and Bernie slowed and eventually stopped his campaign.

How are Florida and Virginia red states?

Because outside of Obama they have overwhelmingly been red since Johnson. Florida has a stronger case since they at least went blue for Carter. But that's what 4 blue to 10 or 11 red. Michigan in the same period was blue 7 times.

Basketball is the best sport to nap through. Nothing matters for 46 of 48 minutes.

Baseball has the same aspect as soccer where any given play can be meaningful.

Baseball is a sport that the more you understand it, the better it gets. Defensive shifts; the pitcher, batter, umpire mind games; base runner strategy, bullpen usagage; lineup changes. Plus it has the best playoffs. Doesn't have 2/3 of the league make it. Only day off is travel days and waiting for the opposing series to finish.

It's almost like what I said was qualified to mean exactly what I said. It's a celebration of the country's existing. which is inclusive of the entity of the country. Colin could have had a point about the 4th being a celebration of freedom but because all people aren't equally free. That is a sound and logical argument. By making this statement and pushing it the only thing you accomplish is further alienation.

You want people to go, "huh that is a good point" not go, "what a dumb fucking thing to say". You want to spark conversation not to drive people further into their trenches because you're accusing people of being white supremacist with no grounds, logic, or rationale train of thought.
