The only person I can think of that fits the age is Tio, which I don't think makes a ton of sense but who knows Ah, yes. An escort boss fight where the boss can two-hit your support NPC who is also too stupid to stay out of the way. And you only get to use two characters. Makes sense. I guess every early-game boss fight is just gonna be Randy spamming Delay... JUST LIKE JOSHUA IN SORA! But at least then those techniques weren't mandatory (except in nightmare shoutouts to the spider that oneshots you and fully heals herself if you ever let her attack) Man, it wasn't enough to just make Quattro kind of a dick, they had to turn him into a complete Javert too. It's tough to tell when I do a quest completely right and when I blow it because I feel like most of the time they'll insult us anyway. At least this time it was clear-cut that I didn't miss anything I tell people not to play Cold Steel 2 before Crossbell. I should be telling them not to play Cold Steel at all before it. I'm sure the Whack-a-Mishy game will have a much different impact by the time I return to Erebonia --- You shine, and make others shine just by being near them. |

It's chill... GEDDIT?? The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd - Looking Up at the Sky at 9.7 is my ???th favorite song in the contest!! Looking Up at the Sky in all of its forms is incredible. The melody itself is beautiful and gets all of the feels across, and this singer compliments it perfectly. She packs so much emotion into it that you can almost understand the lyrics without being able to speak the language. This song wears its cards on its sleeve and there isn't a lot to say about it... besides vote for it. I somewhat prefer the original but you fucks didn't let it get in last year so this is what you're getting. Evenicle - Toccatina at 9.3 is my ???th favorite song in the contest!! I almost nominated this; shame it's against such a champ. Really solid jazzy tune. Should've kept the original thumbnail Ao no Kiseki Evolution - Seize the Truth! at 8.9 is my ???th favorite retiree in the contest!! Real solid if uninspiring Falcom battle tune, except the melody a minute in which always gets me. I definitely prefer the Undertale's, or even the OG. It just seems... cleaner to me. Less muddy. The violin towards the middle is a good addition though. SOUND VOLTEX IV HEAVENLY HAVEN - Chou chou kou soku de mae sai soku!!! Speed star Kanade at RANKING SPOILERS? is my ???th song in the contest!! I don't remember if I revealed the ranking for this explicitly or not yet but needless to say, I hate it. Sin. Sinners repent. Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum - Lake at 8.8 is my ???th favorite song in the contest!! The perfect earbleach for Speed Star Kanade. Beautiful and relaxing without being trite and repetitive. Just a real solid, pretty tune. Its matchup is... unfortunate. Trails in the Sky SC - The Merciless Savior at 9.8 is my ???th favorite song in the contest!! You ever just listen to a song for 14 hours? Me, yesterday. This is my second favorite SC song (behind Looking Up at the Sky) which is saying a LOT! Weirdly enough, this was like the fourth SC song I heard part of because I was looking through the game's music folder for the aforemention song before people gave me its title. I only heard the very beginning so no real spoilers there. It's just a masterpiece of weird adventurous prog violins and EPIC DRAMATIC CHANTING and EMOTIONAL violins with FEELINGS and it's just SO GOOD throughout its whole thing. I spent at least a solid hour on this boss and didn't mind at all. I lost a quarter of my party members ten minutes into the fight and didn't mind at all. This song is one of the rare type that I can just listen to and feel all of my cares fly away in the wind. It's DESTINY and HAPPINESS and REMEMBRANCE and QUALITY and GOODNESS. Fuck the transition into the prog thirty seconds in. Fuck the emotional low strings three minutes in. Fuck just AAAAAHHH SO GOOD! I LOVE Trails in the Sky (play it), but this is definitely one of a few songs I can say I'd love equally as much divorced from the game entirely because it's SO GOOD. FUCK Cytus II - Chocolate Missile at 8.1 is my ???th favorite retiree in the contest!! This is another one of those songs I keep listening to to see if I'm missing anything and I'm perpetually disappointed that I'm not. Not to say it doesn't have value; it does. I just can't seem to see what justifies it killing ALL OF MY FAVORITE SONGS. Rips Soaring, 9.9. Rip Murderswarm, 9.4. Chocolate Missile, you're just there. Nice enough to listen to, nothing I'd deliberately seek out except to try to understand what allure you seem to have. Cloudbuilt: Defiance - Monolith at 8.3 is my ???th favorite retiree in the contest!! Sorry to say, but you don't do a lot for me either. Honestly I'm not a huge fan of rustic farming village settings in these types of games. Manoria was alright, I guess, independently of the setting. Hopefully this one can keep my interest. It almost has a Pokemon XD feel? It's kind of interesting how often this game mentions the whole of Zemuria. SnK and CS tended to mainly mention Erebonia, Liberl, Calvard or Crossbell, but I suppose that Crossbell's role as a trading hub makes them reference trade to the rest of the continent more often? HA! I knew Harold was gonna show up here! Yeah I don't think any of this Divine Wolf stuff will be interesting. More Chapter 1 setting-the-stage plot that's nice in retrospect but whatever in the moment. ...you ever just want to play atelier? Oh sick, fast travel. Was wondering if this would turn up.
