Also I don't know if this will be part of KCFs 'regret' picks but here is how badly I bumbled the Steelers draft by trying to be smart (it did not work out well)

I traded a future 2nd, 6th and future 7th for a 3rd, 5th and future 6th

I used the 3rd to draft TE O.J. Howard as he was the top TE in the draft and typically they have come out 78-80 and done well. He came out as a 76.

I used the 5th to draft FB Simmons as he was the first 'blocking' FB we have seen since we switched non imported classes. His blocking rating is the 3rd worst in the league for FBs

Both were positions of excess (i.e. unnecessary) and without them I'd be under cap with space to fill my final hole. I am now slightly over cap and have to make a cut/trade to fill that hole.

So in summary. Steelers gave up a future 2nd (plus dead money) to draft a downgrade at TE and a FB who will likely never see the field. Maybe Howard will flourish and make it worth it down the line but right now it looks like a badly fumbled gamble

Throwing it out there that TE Tate Casey (84 OVR - 30 yo) is available for trade. His contract would be reasonable (~3.2m) after I eat the dead money. In the last 7 seasons he has put up just short of 3000 yards and 13 TDs

I'd be looking for a late draft pick or a young cheap OLB, MLB or DE in return.

Depends on your definition of developed. Most of them will increase in OVR but do you mean guys who significantly improve? Ones who develop into starters? It's hard for 5th to 7th rounders to develop purely because of lack of play time but late round picks who actually see the field do develop.

Shot clock expires to 0. Miami clock operator resets it despite no shot happening. Refs ignore the violation and allow Miami to shoot and score like 3 seconds later. Magic coach questions it. Basket counts.

At least try to be impartial refs

How much would this be worth? I had a 1st edition base set Charizard that suspiciously went missing (along with a few others) from my parents house after a cousin asked to look at my old cards. Granted it was a few years ago and I'm not in the country but they told me nobody else had touched those cards since I stored them away at their house 15 years ago. Also the ending of the demo. That retcon of shinra watching them and assisting the blowing up the reactor. Is that new or had different material already retconned it to be accurate? Because that's a pretty big shift from the source even if it can be made to make sense storyline wise.

In that case it makes it more interesting that we are currently trending downwards in terms of talent level (at least from S10 onwards). Out of the 8 positions I've done so far 6 are trending downwards, 1 is static (except at the extreme low end where it's down) and 1 is slightly up (OT)

If you have options with your top pick then if I were you I'd potentially look into trading down slightly depending on the board. I think there's a few people who need QBs for example and there may not be enough of them high up that people may want to trade up for one

Not at all. The death rate of people under the age of 40 is 0.2% and even those people had mitigating factors involved (treatment / pre-existing conditions / etc). So there's minimal risk of death for me and the symptoms don't even seem that bad

Do you want fair or do you want entertaining? You can't really have both. There's nothing wrong with wanting the latter but people preferring the first option is fine too.

Yeah Playoffs are for entertainment and money making purposes rather than crowning the best team. In the NFL it makes sense because of how it is scheduled. In other sports where it would be entirely possible for everyone to have equal schedules, it makes less sense.

Playoffs reward the team who is healthiest and in the best form at the end of the season rather than rewarding the team who has been the best for the entire season. Every game should matter and with playoff systems that frequently isn't the case

Looking to move G Andy Christensen (88 - 32yo) for cap reasons. His career stat line for me is 105 Blocks / 27 Sacks (3.89 ratio) primarily as a backup over 6 seasons. He had a bad season last season (21/10), his block ratio prior to last season was 5.5.

He would be on a reasonable deal for his OVR after I eat the dead money (4.4m this season / 5.7m next season) but his production is probably slightly below his OVR (but has been as a backup)

Would mainly be looking for draft compensation / upgrading a pick.

Right and Alex Barron is an OT where 10+ Blocks/Sacks is the baseline for being good at the position. Okobi had 10+ at a position where 5-6+ is the baseline for being good. I've had 13 OTs have 10+ ratio seasons in the last 7 seasons. I've had 1 C do it in the same timeframe

Like yeah playstyle may matter but it should be a small portion of it. I'd imagine a lot of dudes could have put up better career numbers in different systems. There's probably been lots of HBs stifled by pass heavy systems or QBs sat behind run heavy systems. Same with WRs on run heavy teams. Okobi was on an AI led team for most (all? Has anyone had the Raiders?) of his career so I'm assuming he was in a fairly normal system. Are we saying every other teams runs negative systems for C blocks and that's why we don't see other C's averaging 10+ ratios?

I mean it's not like it matters now, vote is in. I just think that's a pretty massive snub. If Okobi doesn't get in, it's unlikely any C's do in the future

Man, shame on people saying no on Chukky. How many blocks per sack do you want out of a C? You would all be ecstatic with 10:1 ratio for a C for the year and Chukky did it for an entire career. If he didn't make it, may as well disqualify C's

Oh hey, my votes were identical except for Foxworth I think. I struggled with Foxworth because CBs are so unproductive stat wise and all my own team comparisons were nowhere close even without the return TDs. So that kinda tipped it over for me.

Weddle was another I struggled on. I actually wrote No then Yes and then back to No. Again I compared him to my own dude and figured his stats were good but not great. It was just the length of time he did it for that was impressive. My SS outperforms him on a season by season basis but won't come close to his career stats because he just won't play anywhere near as many games. I wasn't sure how much to value the consistency across a career though

Edit: And yeah with Chukky I went yes even though the rankings for him suggest no. That career sack/block ratio is that insane for a C even for a few seasons, nevermind an entire career. I did remember you highlighting how crazy his stat line was a few seasons back when we asked what was a good ratio for an interior O-line player

He has not performed well for me. His contract isn't even going to be great even after I eat the dead money. But if you want him for virtually nothing, you are welcome to kick the tires on him.

Full disclosure, I will be cutting him if I get no takers so you can also get him for free on the open market (but may have to bid against the AI). Only additional benefit would be that you would be able to cut him if he didn't work out at no cost.

FS Tashaun Gipson (85) is on the trade market because he isn't psychic and didn't realize he was actually going to start this season. He's been a productive backup FS (and SS) that I didn't want to let go but he's forced my hand.

His career numbers are 88 Tackles, 2 Sacks, 3 FF, 2 FR, 5 INT as a backup (as mentioned he was backup SS too which sees decent snaps). He's good enough that I was going to start him this year, he seems to be a bit of a do everything safety.

I'm open on the wants side. Draft compensation or maybe a similar level starter, I'd have to look at the options

Ideally you want to be around 33% or under but that figure was derived quite a long time ago I believe. I think with increasing cost of living not scaling with increase in wages, probably 40% or under is fine. 45% at a stretch. I'd imagine quite a few people are above that threshold though
