I love to learn, but the more I learn the more I lose that sense of wonder and naivete I had as a child. It's very thrilling to believe in Santa Claus and God and all these other things, but as I get older the more I become jaded with the fact that reality is much more cold and heartless than we were led to believe growing up.

I'm taking the money because I've already experienced terrible back pain. Shattered my third lumbar vertebra in 2007 after falling out of a tree, had all five lumbar vertebrae fused and so now nothing that happens to me even really registers very high on the pain scale because of how much all that hurt.

This may vary regionally, but as far as in-store clothing we only sell painter's pants and painter's shorts. Every few weeks we'll get shipments of shirts, but we really just keep them in the back and give them out to contractors as they ask for them. You could probably be lucky enough to just ask for a shirt or two at a local SW and get it complimentary.

Something dark to hide the stains, but with a little green added because green will neutralize any red hue. To that end, I'd recommend SW6992 Inkwell. It's a very dark color--nearly pure black--but it has some green added.

Obviously it's a movie involving teleportation so accurate science isn't necessarily a guarantee therein, but I am curious about why his mutation was so severe.

The computer says "Fusion of Brundle and fly at the molecular-genetic level."

Even disregarding the difference in the number of chromosomes in human vs fly DNA and the problems a computer would have in fusing them, wouldn't the sheer enormity of the mass of Goldblum's DNA vastly overwhelm the fly's DNA, so much so that even if he did experience bodily changes and mutations they would be relatively minor compared to the asymmetrical "space bug" thing we see at the end?

There's a saying about Jeopardy I once read and it's very true: "every single clue on Jeopardy is very easy to somebody."

In other words, there are so many people in the world with various specialized interests and whatnot, that no matter what kind of fact Jeopardy conjures, you can rest assured someone knows it and would say "oh, that's easy." But on the flip side, another clue you may think is easy, that same person might have no idea.

As an example, I was perusing an old, old Jeopardy game on the online archives, and in the category "TV TOWNS" the fourth clue read: The Lawrence clan of the ABC series Family lived here, though for them things weren't always rosy.

I had never seen or heard of that TV show before, but the "rosy" hint made me think of the Rose Bowl and the Tournament of Roses, both held in Pasadena, California. So I guessed Pasadena and that was it.

I think that's one of the coolest things about the show. You don't necessarily have to know the specific fact on the board; if you happen to know a different fact that their little hint refers to, you can deduce what the answer must be.

I always think of life as just this shitty game I hate but I'm not allowed to quit playing on my own, I can only stop if I die. And if I don't have to die guilty, that'd be the only way I can die peacefully and actually get some rest in the afterlife...

Give yourself a goal, even if it's seemingly unrealistic or impossible. Having something to work toward will give you a renewed sense of purpose, especially if it's something that will take a long time to achieve. If you can train yourself to chase perfection, while acknowledging that perfection is unattainable and therefore the destination will never be reached, you will free yourself of the sense of pointlessness because you will day-by-day be improving yourself until at some point, you'll recognize that you've surpassed most of the people in your life, but you still keep going because your standards are beyond what others can imagine.
