No, which I actually used in an argument once to make a Vegan look stupid.

He was arguing that the natural human diet is vegetables, I argued that its meat/milk/cheese.

I cornered him when I said so you really think milk is not a natural part of the human diet, he said yea its high in saturated fat and leads to early death.

Then I said so exactly what should newborns be fed? Kale? The whole table started laughing at him there.

Most human cultures didn't have cheese as part of their diet prior to European cultural diffusion. It's not something you just find, you have to make it.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheese

Until its modern spread along with European culture, cheese was nearly unheard of in east Asian cultures, in the pre-Columbian Americas, and only had limited use in sub-Mediterranean Africa, mainly being widespread and popular only in Europe, the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent, and areas influenced by those cultures. But with the spread, first of European imperialism, and later of Euro-American culture and food, cheese has gradually become known and increasingly popular worldwide.

I recommend picking the stronger monsters option. It forces you to use good strategies for all the bosses. Otherwise you just kind of steamroll everything as is the standard for most RPGs now. That's why I like DRPGs so much, a lot of emphasis on strategy.

Dragon Quest XI S. So good I actually replayed the whole thing when I was in Wuhan despite having beaten it on PS4 already. S adds a number of additional features, especially compared to the Japanese original which had no voice acting at all. I also really liked Astral Chain, but I am a sucker for anything Platinum Games makes.

For DRPGs on Switch Coven of Dusk as mentioned, and a really great story oriented series that started on Vita but has a far superior version on Switch, Mary Skelter. Buy Mary Skelter 2 for Switch and it includes a free remake of the original. The final game is coming out soon.

I've never heard that term but I do like those games!

Oh man, am I glad to hear that. My love of that genre helped me get into Japanese to begin with. I think pretty much everyone agrees the best DRPGs released in English on Vita are Dungeon Travelers 2 (skip the first one), Demon Gaze 2 (first is also good), and finally Stranger of Sword City Revisited (make sure it's the Revisited version, this is not the same as the earlier version also on Steam). If you can do Japanese get which is not only cheap, but includes a free copy of Stranger of Sword City Revisited.

I would also recommend Coven of Dusk but it's better on Switch, which you said you have.

It's actually my favorite handheld. I have 3 of them (two 1000 models and a 2000 model). Lot of good exclusives, but mainly in RPGs. Sadly some of the best are Japanese only (though I only play games in Japanese myself). If you like the DRPG subgenre (Etrian Odyssey, old-school Megami Tensei games, Wizardry, etc.) it's a must buy for sure.

I didn't even like the story in that one (I thought the entire premise was dumb), but I enjoyed the setting even more. 2049 actually had some decent characters though.

im not quite buying that it was made in any lab. i have no doubt there are secret government/military labs in many countries, especially china and the US, researching deadly viruses and how to apply them in warfare but they wont be so incompetent as leak the virus and cause a pandemic like this. and if this virus was indeed made in a lab it is quite a shit virus

None of the people who research viruses think it was made in a lab period. It has no signs of being manufactured. People (including many officials and people in the media) keep getting confused by what experts mean when they say it may have leaked from the lab (most still think it originated in the wet market). What they mean is when studying natural viruses in a lab, due to poor safety procedures it may have accidentally leaked out.

If you want a social democrat you are far closer to getting that with Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden than Bernie Sanders and his ugly socialism.

Right, I am not an advocate or him or his policies (unless you count thinking he was the best Democrat running as advocating for him). I am merely saying I believe he wants to do the right thing, not that he is some sociopathic tankie who advocates for genocide, discrimination, and violation of human rights to put themselves in the ruling elite.

It's between Korea and Japan, but no one outside of some extreme Korean nationalists think it's Korean. It's not a disputed territory because the government of South Korea only tried to claim it for a short period after World War II and then dropped it in the 60s.

The island that is still under dispute is the Liancourt Rocks.

I honestly don't think Bernie understands much about policy or ideology at a larger level and doesn't have some scheme like you're portraying here. He just wants to help poor people and he thinks things like socialism must therefore be good. He has praised awful regimes many times throughout his tenure out of this navety. A lot of people who advocate for socialism absolutely are sociopaths seeking power who do not care about people and use them as a means to an end (see the tankie posting in this topic), but I think Bernie just wants to do the right thing and doesn't necessarily understand how or what the terms he uses mean.

My problem with this whole sexism and objectification of women in video games angle is it's by and large still men making these design choices. So, they're either reductive male feminists, or they're skin fetish whores, who are choosing a wardrobe for a woman to wear. Video game characters don't have innate agency. "Cortana chose to model herself". lol

That argument usually doesn't work though. Like if you say Bayonetta was designed by a woman (she was), you will just hear internalized sexism. If a game has men in revealing clothes it's a power fantasy. There isn't really any objective way to determine these things, so you can't really propose a solution.

I don't know what the topic means. Politicians rhetoric doesn't have anything to do with what they will actually do. Bernie could have won in a landslide by either by either using far left or centrist rhetoric and he still would be forced to compromise to get anything through congress, and that's even assuming he actually wanted to do the things he said during a campaign (the smart play is to just say whatever helps you win and then do whatever you want after). People care way too much about the things politicians say.
