Booker - mid fodder

Gilgameshs matches project 2013 Sora to get like 68% on him. Thats not too bad and Bioshock Infinite looked okay in 2015. The general slide of western characters if theyre not in the spotlight means theres probably no way hes high fodder but I can buy mid until seeing him or his game flop hard.

Garrett - low fodder

By all accounts the first two Thief games are really great. Gamefaqs hasnt played them. Maybe avoids LAW fodder due to looking like a cool assassin dude.

Skeletor - low fodder

like he-man, too old and was never really relevant again after the 80s despite a couple later series.

Pinky - mid fodder
Same as Blinky and Clyde

Sirius Black - low fodder
Wheb Ron, Dumbledore, and Voldemort are mid fodder and this seems plausibly correct, theres not many others who can break into that tier. Sirius is well-liked among fans but with how limited his actual presence in the books/movies is, I kinda question how well hell be remembered among a demographic that doesnt necessarily care that much about the series.

He barely outdid Luigi against Link in 2010. his Bacondorf performance doesnt look so good now that Mega man has shown us how to really cook the stupid pig. He did marginally worse than 2006 Crono against Auron in 2018 too, despite that Auron dropped like 3% on 2006 Sub-zero. Four way Sonic was, of course, also bad.

Corvo Attano (Dishonored) - Low fodder

He'd need to improve a bit from his 2013 showing to make mid fodder. Not impossible given his game did get a sequel but it's been several years even since the sequel and western characters have a bad habit of not lasting long here. I'd need to see him or the game actually do something before believing in him as mid fodder.

Agahnim (Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past) - Mid fodder

I guess? Gets some story mentions and is set up as the big bad initially, has a couple boss fights, is also a boss fight in Link's Awakening and Oracle of Seasons, may or may not pretty much be just Ganondorf in disguise. Ultimately though the characters in Link to the Past don't matter all that much; that ain't why you're playing the game. Still a strong enough game that I can buy him as mid fodder though.

Funky Kong (Donkey Kong Country) - Low fodder

A 2D Platformer NPC. He's very "90s cool" but there is absolutely nothing there.

Breath of Fire I is fairly average overall. The plot, cast, and graphics are better in the second game (music might actually be less good though?) and it seems less haphazardly designed but they took out some of the more unusual features (dragon transformations, switching party members in battle, an item temporarily stopping all random encounters that's cheap and buyable early on) and I remember it being much heavier on grinding. All of the first four games have fairly bad pacing, too. I think they seemed better back in the day when options were more limited. III and IV on PS1 are probably better overall than the first two. I should get around to Dragon Quarter just so I can have an opinion on that one.

As for an alternative you'd have easy access to without piracy, IIRC you had a SNES Classic? If so you might wanna go play Super Mario RPG instead. Maybe even Earthbound? It's got some issues but it's certainly a lot more unique. Some people will even tell you Secret of Mana is still good in 2020. I think they're crazy but hey!

That looks so bad when I'm 11 years in the future and looking back. I have a saved copy of my bracket so I can't even pretend that I didn't have Starcraft over FF8 in Round 1. I then had (Oot >) FF8 > Starcraft in Round 2. I have no idea how I justified the two games switching position between rounds.

Perhaps you thought Xenogears would leech FFVIII enough in Round 1 to cost it the win even if it was possibly stronger.

Then I see you had OoT > Half-Life for the other match in that eight-pack. Throwing in Half-Life into the next round should hurt Starcraft at least a little more than FFVIII.

(In reality FFIX beat out Half-Life in that other match so instead FFVIII had an even stronger Square anchor in Round 2 than 1. Still beat Starcraft again though!)
