The Knight - mid fodder

For the most part I dont think indie game characters are going to be nearly as good as their games and the actual strength of hollow knight the game is still pretty up in the air so Im not going too high. Would take Velvet > The Knight even after seeing how their games match went.

Android 21 - low fodder

i dont think Buu and Android 18 would be that good either (could possibly escape low fodder just out of people liking DBZ and both having relevant screen time though) so Im not seeing other female Android Majin buu looking thing from a video game being any good.

Duncan - low fodder

looked real bad in 2013. Might have some chance of escaping the tier later with definitive edition but thats not out yet.

borderlands 2 seemed to do enough here to not outright disgrace itself that I want to see more out of it before judging claptrap again.

I dont buy that Ni no Kuni looking good does more for it than all the myriad Ive heard good things about x but havent played it does for almost every game in the bracket.

And while most voters have watched and liked some anime, if only because of how big anime blew up during their childhood, the bulk of them are not really anime fans and the group who would really care about Ghiblis involvement is not large.

assuming those that do care would vote for it based on the Ghibli connection but not actually ever play the game or at least look into it a little more is also sketchy.

I recall Dragons Dogma being a game SBAllen specifically told us was in the top 100 most nominated in 2015 but didnt make the bracket, so yeah, its nomination support is probably pretty good this time too.

Are a disproportionate amount of LiS fans compared to (non-mobile phone) gamers in general female? Im gonna guess yes.

gamefaqs age also does it no favors. The average voter here was like 28 when it came out. Some people just cant tolerate that kind of teen-speak, especially as they age.

I think both Halo and Life is Strange are much weaker here than they would be in general. Both looked terrible in 2015 games and 2018 characters. When I first saw this match I thought I cant believe I have to choose whether Life is Strange or a post-Halo 3 Halo game is actually going to win a match.

Since someone asked how Three Houses sold relative to other JRPGs in the bracket, it would definitely be up there at over 2.5 million as of the end of last year. It has likely passed Persona 5 by now.

The highest selling JRPG here (other than HGSS I guess) is certainly Dark Souls, followed by FFXV. Then itd probably be Dark Souls III, DQXI, then Sekiro, then Nier Automata, though DQXI is obviously very disproportionately centred around Japan.

Marill (Pokemon) - Low fodder

Marill had a very brief moment in the sun before G/S were released in the west. I'm not sure whether the name "Pikablu" came first as a bullshit rumor that was later attached to Marill once the west started getting info about early post-151 mons or if it referred to Marill all along. Either way it was one of the first post-151 pokemon people were aware of and was of some interest as a result.

Then G/S came out and it turned out Marill was only available kinda late and had a ridiculous requirement if you wanted to find them at a reasonable rate and even after all that it and its evolution kinda sucked so everyone almost immediately stopped caring once they actually played GS. Man, GSC had a lot of problems like that.
