I don't know if it applies to other victims, but personally speaking, I tear myself down over my physical appearance all the time as a result of my trauma from sexual abuse. Specifically, the idea that someone might consider me attractive fills me with dread because of what happened the last time someone couldn't keep their eyes (and hands) off of me. What's considered "in demand" varies every year though, it's far too common for someone end up with a degree that's rendered useless due to changes in the job market, and unless you're actually good at what's being demanded, you have to settle for whatever else you can get instead (or just outright abandon getting a degree at all). I know in my case that schooling is going to end up fruitless, because I'm neither good at any of the subjects available to me and I won't commit to anything that won't be viable by the time I graduate. There was also of course Super Mario Bros. 1&3. But on rare occasions me and my siblings got our mom to play stuff like Sonic 2&3 (she was sometimes better at being Tails than we were) and Secret of Mana (always went for Sprite). Tried out Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius, found the "exploration" controls to be kind of ass, and it got real annoying real quick that every pull was some friggin' OC and not any actual Final Fantasy characters. (But of hey, let's just *give* you this Katy Perry character. Like, the fuck?) And Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia won't run on Nox Player. Because of course it won't. Didn't even bother with Final Fantasy: Record Keeper, had my fill of dealing with Square's mobile games this week. Also tried out a couple of "cute girls piloting mechs" games, but neither of them had much going for them outside of the eye candy. I have other games that do that too, but also have actual gameplay worth bothering with. Eh, guess I'm back to just playing FEH, SMT, and King's Raid for now. --- Les aristocrates a la lanterne!
