Well, passing legislation to disarm them of their firearms and then divest them of their land at will are two steps toward getting a genocide underway.

Nearly two thirds of those arrested 109 in total had no criminal record, the agency said. Another 61 of those arrested did have criminal records, but ICE did not specify the crimes and said it could not break down convictions by violent and nonviolent offenses.

Just under 80 percent of people screened by ICE during the sponsorship process showed results that they were not in the country legally, the agency said.

If you disregard the 20% they are here legally, that is

So, they were suspected of being here illegally and either 80% of those arrested were here illegally or they arrested 80% of the total number of would be sponsors because they were found to be here illegally. The language is vague enough that it could be either.

Either way, it mostly supports his point. 80% is an overwhelming majority of that group.

Must have been an incredibly small sample size. I would like to see that study though because it sounds really hard to prove something like that. For what I know, most schooling stops grading behavior along with their academics around high school. At least in my area. Dunno why elementary school grading systems would be implemented at a university.

it isnt a sample size issue, the study is sound.

http://people.terry.uga.edu/cornwl/research/cmvp.genderdiffs.pdf

it is focused on primary schooling, however.

Makes sense, and yeah that is an issue. I've always thought the behaviour grades were BS. That's just a teacher's way of sticking it to kids they don't like. There definitely has to be a better way to have kids behave better in class without punishing them.

That being said, parenting has a huge role in this as well. And this type of shit is only going to get worse.

It seems to me that the modern classroom isn't working for boys in general. I don't think we can just force them to fit that mold. Square pegs don't fit in round holes.

If the system we currently have in place is disadvantaging the boys at a significant rate and advantaging the girls, is the solution to restructure the system to accommodate typical male behavior or is it to keep trying to get boys to act more like girls? Because the latter doesn't seem to be working.

Not to make it an "us vs them" thing, but if we were looking at a system in which the overwhelming majority of teachers were male and the girls were getting graded more harshly, failing, and dropping out at significantly higher rates than boys, would we say they should just act more like the boys, would we suspect there is some sexism against the girls, or would we figure there is something in that system that favored boys over girls?

Great question. She's hardly a leader and more of a face for the movement. But that has been the common criticism from both sides.

CornBarn posted...
Those are possible interpretations of the data. Ultimately the data still shows rapidly declining rates of college attendance by men, and white men. Both the causes you highlighted would represent anti-male systemic issues.

Saying women are better at education is misandrist, and we already know that women tend to punish boys much more strictly than they do girls. They also neglect them.

Correlation=/=Causation. You're just asserting your own hypothesis with no basis other than the declining rates lol Those aren't anti-male systemic issues. School work doesn't cater to women. If you get arrested or expelled during college, that's a personal decision. Has nothing to do with being male.

There actually is research that suggests modern classrooms do, in fact, systemically favor girls over boys.

I recall @Darkman124 posted a study about how boys are penalized in their grades for behavior that doesn't relate to the academic content. Boys can be crushing tests, but their grades suffer because they'll be aggressively shouting out answers instead of passively raising their hands and waiting to be called on, for example.

I suggest you read that article before you use it as some sort of ammo for your argument lol this article does not support your views.

For reference for those who don't want to read the article, its saying men are failing in education compared to women because men are too sexist to work in fields that traditionally feature mostly women (like teaching) and require college degrees.

It also states that men are more likely to get arrested or expelled during their college years, and that women are possibly better at education than men are. Seems like he just googled "college sexist men" and randomly clicked an article lol

Sure, but we also know boys and men are punished (and graded) more harshly in the education and criminal justice systems.

Saying women are just better than men in educational environments is akin to saying white people are just better in that environment than black people are. Yeah, they do better, but the environment seems geared to favoring them from the start.

No, of course it doesn't invalidate her withdrawal of consent. But that context does call into question whether or not she actually did deny him her consent. Especially if the rest of Houston's post about her claims is accurate.

In the CNN article, she claims that he was following her around the party, but she ignored it because she knew he had a girlfriend. That is completely different from passionately kissing and grinding with him during the party. If other people at the party testified that they saw the two of them doing that, then it's a pretty huge hole in her case.

If it's also true that no physical evidence of choking or drugging is present during the examination, that would cripple her case. Physical evidence of penetration and ejaculation isn't enough because the physical evidence of rape is identical to physical evidence of consensual sex.

I don't remember a lot of coming togetherness from Alistair when I opted to make Loghain a Grey Warden or Leliana when I dumped blood in those sacred ashes.

Really, you don't remember the entire alliance building of bringing together Elves, Dwarves, and Mages together with the remnants of Ferelden forces to fight against the blight? Your memory must suck since that was roughly 2/3rds of the fucking game.

I wouldn't call that "coming together because we are all we have". I would call it "frenemies begrudgingly working together, or not, to not be murdered by a horde of pseudo-orcs".

"Coming together" suggests more touchy-feely, friends and family stuff. Not the impression I get from convincing factions that don't like each other to fight a common enemy for their own survival.

Even in the party, that message sours with how easy it is for other party members to leave or turn on you.

Now, you probably won't find a lot of bundles like that that aren't being sold at an elevated price by scalpers. Particularly the unique ones like Smash Bros, Diablo 3, Splatoon 2, etc. Ones with different decals or joy on colors.

For the standard Switch, your options are either the dark gray joycons or the neon red and blue joycons. I prefer the gray ones.
