A former Baylor University student indicted on four counts of sexual assault won't spend a single day in prison, according to local reports.

Instead, a plea agreement allowed Jacob Walter Anderson, an ex-fraternity president, to plead no contest to a lesser charge of unlawful restraint, CNN affiliate KWTX reported.
If the 24-year-old successfully completes three years of deferred probation and pays a $400 fine, his criminal record will be wiped clean of the charge, and he won't have to register as a sex offender, CNN affiliate KWKT said.

The plea agreement between Anderson's defense team and the McLennan County, Texas, district attorney's office infuriated the victim and her attorney.
"The evidence is incredible," Vic Feazell, the woman's attorney, told CNN affiliate KWKT. "He nearly choked her to death. He raped her violently. He left her passed out in her own vomit -- the rape exam confirmed rape."

- 16 year old girl in an abusive relationship
- the boyfriend pushed her into prostitution (technically sex trafficking since she was a minor).

So, after some digging, fuck CNN and fuck every news outlet that failed to include the other side of the story.

"The attorneys said the woman's victim-impact statement was "riddled with distortions and misrepresentations."

"What seems to have been left out of her representation was some passionate kissing, groping and grinding by this girl and Mr. Anderson that occurred in front of more than 100 people at this party," the attorneys said. "Many witnesses saw them kissing passionately several times during the party."

The woman's claims that she was choked is "absolutely contrary" to the physical evidence and her statements to police and medical personnel that night, they said. They also disputed her claim that she was drugged, saying no drugs were found in her system.

"She drank significantly before she ever came to the party, but her blood-alcohol level was barely above intoxication level (0.12) at the hospital," Daniel said. "She made statements to two separate male students that this may have been consensual. Those boys said she seemed fine, seemed calm and collected immediately afterward as if nothing had happened. She appears in a photograph in the hospital an hour and a half later. She is smiling and eating a cheese cracker with a full grin on her face."

The attorneys said there was no genetic evidence tying Anderson to the alleged offense and that the woman gave "numerous inconsistent statements to the prosecution."

My post was initiated by intellectual curiosity. I read the CNN article posted and said, "Well wait. Something is missing. I want to know more. There's something more."

And there was something missing.

I don't know what happened. I wasn't there. I have no stake in this case.

But any outlet that claims themselves to be "news" without providing both sides to a story (in this case the defense vs prosecution) is a fucking sham.

Absolutely sickening reporting and covering of this story. There's likely a reason it wasn't able to be prosecuted, and I had to do some digging to find out why.

Tribune's post was 41 minutes ago and seems to suggest the Attorney's spoke to them, as opposed to having made an open statement. If the Tribune has the scoop, or it just happened right now, it would be impossible for CNN to have updated their story by now.

You can track this topic to see if CNN will post an update. I guarantee you they won't.

The attorney's and judge specifically stated they "had information that was not available to the public at large", which would suggest that these statements are not public knowledge.

Logic would dictate that this Tribune piece is the first one to go out with statements pertaining to what the defense stated, since again the piece makes it seem like the defense spoke specifically with them.

No, of course it doesn't invalidate her withdrawal of consent. But that context does call into question whether or not she actually did deny him her consent. Especially if the rest of Houston's post about her claims is accurate.

In the CNN article, she claims that he was following her around the party, but she ignored it because she knew he had a girlfriend. That is completely different from passionately kissing and grinding with him during the party. If other people at the party testified that they saw the two of them doing that, then it's a pretty huge hole in her case.

If it's also true that no physical evidence of choking or drugging is present during the examination, that would cripple her case. Physical evidence of penetration and ejaculation isn't enough because the physical evidence of rape is identical to physical evidence of consensual sex.

Truth is the man she killed was a customer who had just paid for her services and fallen asleep. She shot him point blank in the head as he slept in his bed, robbed him and took off.

That's why she's doing the years. She was not scared and rfused to sleep with him and acted in self defense. That was always a lie.

EDIT: She knew the guy she killed and robbed had a large stash of money, weapons and drugs all of which she took back to her pimp. Could have even been a hit.
