Copy-paste Donkey Kong's Up B and call it a Pokemon move, wow. I just don't get why they ended with him. This direct really took the wind out of my sails with its awkward pacing and painful lineup. Imagine if the final reveal was Ridley or K Rool, or, well, a new character people actually wanted instead of GameFreak's latest Special Boy. --- |

| Doe 11/01/18 6:47:28 PM #1 | -Cutting trophies for cut+pastes of concept art stickers -Cutting lots of singleplayer content -Cutting Stage Builder -Online mode is still completely stupid -Horribly mismanaged roster reveals -Claiming that roster decisions were based on the ballot and then using a literal who Piranha Plant to set the standard for DLC, and ending the main game on Incineroar -Adventure mode is just the Smash 4 classic mode with shitty stat changers on steroids -All that time spent on random shit for your stickers to do I was originally planning a 2 hour round trip to the local GameStop to grab this game as soon as I could on release but I have to admit, I really feel slapped by this. Forty minutes of disappointment. I thought they'd learned from the previous games to not frontload all the good news but I guess not. --- |

| Doe 10/29/18 12:34:35 AM #8 | Dude when I was in like, middle school, I read a ton of Star Fox fanfiction because I had a vague awareness of liking furry stuff and good authors used the series as a sort of clean slate to tell science fiction stories. There was one writer I loved who basically wrote his own telling of the whole series lore and used each of his stories to write with different perspective and in different genres. I don't think he ever finished his last one, he had sporadic author notes about law school so I guess life happened. But damn, his page could've been a writing program portfolio, at least to my middle school mind lol. He had one that was fully in first person present tense about James McCloud going through basic training and joining the army, god tier stuff. He invented a religion and relatively complex social and inter-planetary politics that explain why the villain bosses in Star Fox 64 are all wolves, lizards, and apes. I'm glad you made this topic because I've never had a chance to share this extremely niche experience before. --- |

| Doe 10/28/18 12:09:10 PM #14 | I think that sort of game just doesn't work for me at all I guess. I couldn't finish that DMC: DmC game either and didn't get far at all in Bayonetta. Games where you just hit shit a bunch with a lot of arbitrary moves. I thought Metal Gear Rising was amazing though, so I really don't know. I think in MGR:R the fights felt very interactive especially a couple incredibly memorable bosses, while in say Nier Automata it feels like I'm mashing buttons against concrete blocks over and over. --- |
