My favorite is that Falco can down throw into dash into down throw all the way to the side of the stage and then spike with down air. In general there's a lot of fun but unbalanced stuff. And a much better selection of items than 4, and an aesthetic that I enjoy. --- |

| Doe 11/12/18 9:46:38 AM #43 | I'm on my phone right now so I don't have the Tserriendich panel. But yeah HxH abilities seem to have jumped the shark. It's kinda just Stands now. The problem is that solo Kurapika can't carry an arc. He's too honest and business-like, and has nobody to bounce off of. At least in Yorknew when others were off-screen, he was with people like Melody that genuinely interacted with him. But he doesn't have that on the boat. Gon & Killua have been written out, Leorio has a powerless token role somewhere in a medical ward. Ging is doing something but hasn't been seen for 20 chapters. Melody and Biscuit have their own problems. The Spiders are doing something but are progressing slow as molasses. So what we're left with is like 30 deck-1 characters with unique abilities all taking their time to show or explain what their power is and then get killed off or backseated for when Kurapika's Mutually Assured Destruction plan falls apart. It's just that action and almost no character development. I'm sure Kurapika will do *something* once the Spiders get involved, but I can't imagine it will be THAT interesting because this is the same question they've explored two or three times now. --- |

But stages are banned not just because of hazards that interrupt gameplay, but because of degenerate geography. Stages with a lot of verticality or a random small platform way off to the lower side or a wall can all become camp-ridden, where either character approaching is disadvantagous, killing the match. Then there's stuff like "Caves of Life" like the new BotW stage: you can just tech off of the ceiling or wall and survive to stupid percents by staying in that safe zone. And then there's stages like Mute City where there is no bottom, or stages with an upper blast zone so short that characters like Bayonetta can just kill you at 0 for free. People who complain about comp stage list tend not to know what they're talking about, and if not being able to play on Corneria bothers one that much, tournaments probably aren't their thing. --- |

I thought these characters were supposed to be very easy to make? I was expecting like Ninten, Dr. Luigi, Black Shadow, Shadow the Hedgehog, someone for Olimar, Meta Ridley. There's so many possible ones, and they chose Chrom, yet another FE rep. And they gave him moves from both Roy and Ike making it seem like there's a lot of flexibility for Echos, and then he's one of the last echos. And they made it sound like there will be no echo DLC pack or anything either. Feels like a big wasted opportunity. --- |
