I can't imagine walking down the street or going to some event like any normal person, yet knowing that anyone around me could so easily be carrying a gun and potentially causing the next murder or massacre.

Like seriously wtf? And Americans actually defend this logic using their precious second amendment.

Also I known the odds are slim out of millions of people, but still, it's ridiculous how anyone can just carry a one-shot kill weapon on them.

Because well-adjusted people aren't itching to massacre others. It's unfortunate that we are living in this time of extremism and 24-hour-news that aggravates, but banning all guns wouldn't make those issues go away, it would just cut out a symptom.

I don't live in fear of a law abiding citizen shooting me for no reason. If anything, someone who legally purchased a gun and acquired a concealed carry permit is more likely to save me if a bad guy starts shooting people in an area that isn't a gun-free zone.

I dont watch it but guns have a cult in this country. A gun is used in a crime no matter how horrific many people glorify guns so much they defend the gun and gun owner at all costs.

They wont necessarily say the crime was a good thing but after any mass shooting before the bodies are cold the NRA is drumming up conspiracy theories and saying the government is coming for guns.

you can run away from a knife-wielder.
you can survive a simple stab wound.

one is for the kitchen. The other is purely for killing others.

Have you heard of a knife massacre that killed dozens of people at once before? The last I heard was a guy in China trying it at a school. The guy only managed to stab a few, killed nobody.

Defensive scenarios aren't exclusive to attackers with a gun...

but literally the only defense people can resort to against a gunman is by also having a gun.
You can counter melee weapons in many other ways.

You know that people generally don't go around murdering random strangers...right? In the US public mass shootings are less than 1% of gun related deaths in a year. Your chances of being randomly shot are so low that you don't even think about it.

I usually walk around the random piles of guns lying around.

Yknow with proper housekeeping, you can get on top of these piles of guns before they become an issue.

i dont care what others are doing. i aint no mind reader. i carry on my day to day activities.

now if someone were to pull a gun out in public the i expect someone nearby to deal with it, whether its law enforcement or other trained folk to protect themselves.
