We used to get our high school shop teacher every day with thumbtacks. His chair was a seat taken from a car, welded to a stand. Yes, one night can be nice. On the other hand, in February I lost the ability to get upstairs to the second floor, where our shared bedroom is. I had to sleep alone, until we got a new bed for the only downstairs bedroom. It's been five days, and I'm so happy to share my bed with her again.

I mean, the Fifth and Sixth Doctors were pretty unstable after theirs. Six actually tried to kill his companion.

And that leads right into protecting the environment around them, or in this case, the people around them. The 12th Doctor was also completely out of his mind at first. Changing into a different person would be a traumatic event, with unpredictable results, and temporary (or permanent) insanity would not be unexpected.

The TARDIS serves as a chamber to protect the Doctor during regeneration, as he is vulnerable to permanent death during the regeneration (9 to 10, The 10th Doctor was very weak after his regeneration) . It is also protect the environment around him from the sometimes explosive regeneration process (11 to 12, shooting down a Dalek Mothership). It also gives the writers an excuse to remodel the interior of the TARDIS for the new Doctor.

At least these are my theories.

under 5'6" guys can round up if over 1/2" and add 1 inch. So 5'4.5" = 5'6"
5'6 to 5'11" you round up to the nearest inch. So 5'11.25" = 6'
6'-6'3" you can round up if over the 1/2" mark but it makes you a petty bitch
over 6'4" you truncate off the fractions.

This. I'm closer to 6'7" than 6'6", but I always say 6'6".

They don't really want to overturn it. It's propaganda. Watch, nothing will happen to overturn it, and then they will blame Democrats. This has happened before. The reason is the "one-issue voter". These is a block of voters that rabidly oppose abortion, and would vote for a rotting ham sandwich if it "opposed abortion". They vote Republican, because Republicans "oppose abortion".

Failing to repeal Roe v. Wade will fire up these voters, and guarantee that they will show up on election day and vote straight ticket Republican.

So let me see if I understand you correctly, you want to burn the whole thing down because you come here posting about how much everything sucks for you, and people try to help you, but you make excuses to not even try, and then they get tired of trying to help you, so they give up. Is that in the ballpark?

Maybe the problem isn't CE. Maybe it's that there are no magical answers for your problems. Maybe you need to get up and make some changes. If you gave half of the effort to fixing yourself that you do to crying about your problems here, you could fix many of them yourself. That's the only thing that will help you. You must make the effort.

This is not trolling, flaming, or anything of that sort. It's what you need to hear, and do. People here have bent over backwards to help you. Now it's your turn to help yourself.

About 15 years ago, I was going to a restaurant after work, and a homeless, 8 months pregnant girl with no shoes came and asked me for money. She had become pregnant by a guy that her family didn't approve of, and he ditched her almost immediately after he found out about the pregnancy. I always give a little money, but this was too much.

I took her into the restaurant, fed her as much as she could eat, took her to Walmart and bought her clothes and shoes, as well as baby stuff (about $500 spent), and then took her home, gave her my bed and slept on the floor. I didn't try anything with her. She left two days later, while I was at work, didn't steal anything, and left a note thanking me for everything. I never saw her again, but I have always wondered how it turned out for her and her baby.

I am not unconvinced by TC's reason for not liking no double negatives. The reality is that there is no way you can do nothing about this. People aren't going to not use double negatives.
