I hate that :< The turn limit only applies to night missions (which are some of the toughest in the game but you won't have to deal with them for a while) or if you're trying to S-rank missions (which gets you extra rewards but isn't required to complete the story) so don't let that keep you away. The gameplay is good and the crafting element is much more forgiving than most gacha games. They absolutely would, because flipping an opponent out of the arena would be a viable win condition instead of just a freak occurrence. The old Robot Wars had low walls all around the arena, and once Chaos 2 became the first to accomplish the feat in series 3, it became a popular way for flippers to win battles. Later in the series' life, it got to a point where flipper bots actually became too common. The over-saturation of "boring flipper wedges" and quick OOTA fights is part of what led to the show being cancelled. Meanwhile, BattleBots is the opposite, where there's little-to-no chance for an OOTA flip. Flipper bots don't have a reliable win condition, so they have to hope for winning the judges decision on control/aggression, being matched up with an opponent that can't self-right, or (more relevant in the new series) tanking a spinner until it kills itself. The revived Robot Wars found the perfect balance (in my opinion) where the corners had high walls that made it impossible to flip opponents out, but the center part of the four side walls was lower, creating a "trench" which allowed for OOTA flips to win battles. Flippers were quite strong, but only the most skilled drivers, such as the teams behind Apollo and (see gif below) Eruption, could frequently get OOTA flips.  If BattleBots had a similar arena, we'd see some more flippers like Bronco enter and do well, but they still wouldn't take over and outnumber the spinners. Questionmarktarius posted... I wonder what the viability of a solid sphere would be. DUCK is basically a big block of solid Titanium on wheels, with only the little lifting plow on front for an active weapon. One of those robots they entered, Concussion, is a former grand finalist in the revived Robot Wars thanks to a powerful drum spinner. The Dutch team behind Reality in BattleBots is a similar combination of multiple teams that competed in Robot Wars, either in the Dutch spin-off or the main UK series. One of those machines, Gravity, set the record for the quickest battle in Robot Wars history, flipping Dantomkia out of the arena in just 5.8 seconds during the final series of the original Robot Wars. Handguns and SMG's have pretty quick timers (Grizzly's 1:10 is the longest of any handgun, while the longest SMG is 2:35) no matter what rarity they are. The gore was the reason why I thought I'd never watch JoJo at all, and why I didn't watch parts 1 or 2. When part 3 rolled around and I heard that one of my favorite VA's (Matt Mercer) was voicing Jotaro, I wanted to give it a chance, but I still expected the show to have scenes that would be too gory for me to handle. Luckily, I got help from my good buddy @Popcorn_Fairy (who already watched the show when it was only available subbed) who has been warning me in advance whenever one of those scenes was coming, so I could look away before it happens. Digital if it's a game that I've been highly anticipating and know for a fact that I'll play a lot, OR if a game I was on the fence on buying goes on sale for significantly cheaper than the physical version. It's best to do multiple summons at a time (up to 5 at once) because the price goes down (5>4>4>4>3) within the batch. But once you have a decent team to work with, it's best to save orbs to go for specific characters you want. If a banner comes along with 4 characters, but you only want 2 of them, you'd only pull orbs of those units' colors from that banner. If a banner doesn't interest you at all, don't pull from it beyond the free summon. What else should i spend orbs on Upgrading your castle to get an exp boost would be useful to an extent, but beyond that, I'd say only use orbs for summons. Is black knight bundle good Yes. It's a great deal, and right now it's the only way to get Black Knight in the game, since he was originally a reward from an event that's long gone. Nanoha A's (and its alternate movie version) is absolutely amazing and is easily the peak of the series. I would personally recommend watching the movie versions rather than the original TV versions. Nanoha StrikerS takes place after a 10 year time skip so the girls are adults now, and while that left a bad taste in some fans' mouths, for most fans the series was still very good and has a ton of great action scenes. Both A's and StrikerS get fairly dark (but not quite Madoka level) at times. Nanoha ViVid (and its spin-off, ViVid Strike) take the focus off of Nanoha herself and onto the new protagonist, her adopted daughter Vivio. Those two are both solid, but not as good as the ones before, and ViVid is also notably more light-hearted and fanservice-y than earlier seasons. There's also the Nanoha Reflection and Detonation movies, but since they're a two-part story, don't bother with those until after Detonation is actually released. As for Pretty Cure, the various Precure series range from above average to fantastic. The big three that are widely considered the gold standard of the franchise are Heartcatch, Smile, and Go Princess. Start with one of those three or the original Futari Wa Pretty Cure series, which is also very good despite looking a bit dated. Maybe also jump into the currently airing Hugtto Precure as well, since it's been amazing and could end up in that top tier by the time it's all said and done. Save any others you might be interested in for later, but don't feel the need/pressure to watch all of them. Besides Futari Wa and Yes 5 (which each got second seasons) every single Precure series is a standalone and can be watched in isolation without any prior knowledge. Some of them (notably Happiness Charge, Maho Girls, and Kira Kira) were highly polarizing and less well-received, but even the worst Precure series still have their charms that appeal to some fans. I've never seen either of the other two series you mentioned (and I would never watch MGRP because it's far too gory for me to handle) but I've heard good things about the Symphogear franchise. I've heard that it takes a lot of inspiration from Lyrical Nanoha in how it combines elements of the magical girl and mecha genres into one creative series. But again, I haven't seen it, so I can't attest to the quality of the show itself beyond what I've heard from others and seen in clips/gifs. --- "Someday I too will fly... and find you again!" https://imgur.com/jmJ1S3C |
