For the GBA titles color doesn't matter since there's a workaround for it. However, stuff like audio and screen crunch do matter.

Ironically, my worst class was Art.

It was the only B I got in my entire high school career - For some reason it was a requirement during my freshman year. We never got enough time to finish anything, so I thrived off the tests we got to boost my grade. Teacher was also creepy and hit on the girls.

Seriously though, just marking doors that require certain colored keys on the map would be infinitely better. Lost again.

Iirc, GZDoom does exactly that. It's an amazing engine to play Doom on.

This, lol. But a few ones I've enjoyed are:

Gameplay Mods:

Metroid Dreadnought - Turns Doom into a Metroid Prime experience, complete with different beams and upgrades, with the ability to do things like rolling.

GMOTA (Go Medieval on Their Asses) - If you like fantasy-themed SNES games, this is your go-to. One of my favorite mods. Similar to Shovel Knight, new characters are slowly being released.

Demonsteele - If you like really flashy, edgy anime mods, this one's for you. One of the best gameplay-wise.

Russian Overkill -

Randomizers/Replayability Mods:

OBLIGE - Basically a Doom AI that creates levels.

Jimmy's Jukebox - This mod randomizes the music in Doom. There's a gigantic pool of midis thrown into the mix, and you'll never hear the same song twice.

Doom Roguelike Arsenal + Doom RPG - These are two separate mods that can be combined together. If you want a Doom experience that'll last you at least 20 hours, play this. It turns Doom into a full-on RPG with a lot of depth and mechanics. My outright favorite mod.

Maps:

Doom the way Id Did: Simply more Doom. Every map takes inspiration from a level in Doom 1/2.
