Parents/guardian fund their NEET lifestyle (games, anime, tv, housing, food, etc) until they die and then after that, NEETs have no clue what to do and will try to survive off their remaining funds then suicide or become homeless in their 60s. That sounds a lot better than those wagecucks who suffer 30 years of work then retire with half a million in their bank account and not knowing what to do in life at this point.

Having been a NEET for 3 years, it is absolutely terrible and a lifestyle I would never wish to return to.

All NEETs are depressed bro, they feel no sense of accomplishment so they think they're worthless deep down inside.

I don't see how it's depressing. You're literally getting paid by your parents or guardian to sit in your room and play video games all day.

I can't speak for all neets but I am depressed. and I do feel that it would be hard for a non depressed person to be a neet. being a neet requires you to give up on life. yea, you get to sleep whenever you want, and play games all day. but you also don't have any friends or romances. and you have no ambitions in life. my life is pretty pathetic. I've just gotten used to it and stopped caring that my existence is meaningless. also, my parents don't pay for my games.

I am pretty poor and while I get money from the government, I have to be careful. I buy stuff from time to time, but if I make too many purchases it cuts into the money I need to pay my bills and for food. so I have to make sure to keep track of my money and know that after I buy something, I will still have enough for that other stuff. some months I get very close to just barely having enough to pay my bills. I'm trying to be better about that. I told myself that I am not going to buy any games or comics in February

just the government. I mean ok, my parents sometimes help me out, but they rarely give me money. because they know I get monthly payments from the government.

also I actually came back to this topic to add something. my health suffers for being a neet cause I tend to buy really crap food. my money would dwindle even faster if I only ate high quality stuff. I eat alot of frozen stuff, and mac and cheese, spaghetti, canned soup. that kinda stuff. lately I did try to venture into eating more fruit after my mom asked me to stock my fridge with apples.

disabled. I am an autistic person who also has severe anxiety and depression. though it's mostly the autism part that gets me the money I think. alot of autistic people get welfare. the idea of the savant like in that show The Good Doctor, someone who can have a good career is mostly a myth in real life. an old doctor I used to see told me that more than half of autistic people don't lead very glamorous lives and often need help.

Man is a beast of burden. NEETs generally seem to have no sense of accomplishment and low self worth and depression seems to be quite common.

you have a degree in something you love doing but no one wants to hire you because you dont have 10 years of experience. Even low end jobs deny you because your over qualified

I havent started working until age 21, and it was a dish washing job

I think he means that overly repetitive actions are a signal of depression (like listening to the same CD for months)

That's mostly a sign of OCD though.

You have to deal with hating yourself every day and wanting to die but not even having the energy to do that, so it's pretty lame.

If you take the word NEET literally, wouldn't that mean that you could be pretty well off and still be a NEET?
