As someone whose JRPG experience is like 50% Square stuff, it's not that bad.

Same except it's more like 75% square

That 25% non-square stuff is so insanely terrible (and some square stuff too) that P3 is very easy to get into. Also P3 has one of the strongest openings of any game, it's only really the middle that can drag, but you're already hooked by then.

But it's also the case that all we know of reality is filtered through human perception, so for "wrong" or "right" to be useful concepts, they need to take human perception into account. In that sense, what is "right" is only what we humans can perceive and be convinced is right. For example "electrons have a negative charge", "gravity is a wave", "the earth is round", are all dependent on approximations that humans invented to talk about reality (math, physics, etc). If you can't explain what "negative charge" or "wave" or "round" means, then you might very well be wrong when saying those supposedly true statements.

I dunno, I think it's success is that it doesn't try to hide that the world you're watching is a simulation and different from the real world, especially after the halfway point. It's such a cliche twist that it's just eye-rolling right now. But the reason for the simulation is brilliant and totally believable, which is why it works and breaks the cliche.

Depends what you mean by dating.

If it's like being really close and living together and having a partner in life and such (basically unofficial marriage) then obviously being a truther or whatever is an easy dealbreaker. But if it's just banging and going on dates every once in a while then it shouldn't be a big deal.

In that example she's only gone on 2 dates, and the question is about investing in more. Anyone can go on a couple dates with an insane person and then ditch them, which should seems pretty reasonable for someone who insists on making dumb shit part of their identity.
