Yeah I haven't seen much of the FE gacha but it looks like it balances gacha with actual SRPG gameplay very well. A lot of my friends play it way more because of that, while they get burned out fast on typical gachas.

The defining characteristic of gacha is you're gaining characters/gameplay, not just items. It's not like a weapon or potion or whatever, but a whole section of gameplay that you are gambling for.

In other words, an RPG game is often about grinding to unlock items that help you in the game, but a gacha game is about grinding to unlock the actual game.

It there's one thing Trump has made clear is that SO many Americans rely on their "representatives" as a veil for their deep and powerful bigotry. Sure, I hate blacks and poor people deserve to die in prison, but look at how classy Obama is. I can't be a gross monster if he's the one representing me. He talks so nicely about murdering hundreds of innocents, so it must be okay that I relish their deaths like a video game highscore.

Trump is the same way, on a different axis. His supporters don't care about being seen as gross monsters, that's a badge of honor. But being an American nationalist, a pure wholesome Christian? That's really hard when you are constantly sinful, you have nothing but hatred for your fellow Americans, you don't want kids, you don't want to work, and so on. But Trump is 1000x as sinful and anti-American and adulterous and parasitic to American society, and yet he speaks so obviously pro-America and pro-Christianity and pro-family values. So if you're someone who's cheated on your 3rd wife with only TWO unconsenting underage girls, you don't seem so bad anymore.

The problem here is people have completely lost their identities, using politicians as their stand in. They are so afraid of facing their own morality, taking responsibility for their own actions, that they attach themselves entirely to a talking head. And of course that head takes complete advantage.
