Not once has any scientific evidence been produced to this court that supports the contention that the final or any other test only works for 12 hours. It could be that every single one of those defendants are lying to police. However, on balance, I find that this is unlikely.

Well, if you took weed the day before you're driving, you're no longer under the effect of weed even if it can still be detected in your system. So it's pretty fucked up.

The Australia government apparently is saying that cannabis can be detected after 12 hours, but it appears that this may be WRONG and that people have tested positive after weeks.

Read this:

DAVID MARK: A NSW magistrate has criticised the State Government's roadside drug testing program, and its advice that cannabis can only be detected up to 12 hours after use.

The Lismore magistrate David Heilpern says he has heard hundreds of cases in the past few months which contradict that advice.

He says people claim they've been caught for drug driving in some cases weeks after they say they had last smoked cannabis. He describes the state's drug testing regime as "mysterious and uncertain by design".

Apparently, music is forbidden in islam but there is one exception:

Another thing he used to do...

Say, I had some documents I needed him to sign.

I would go in his office, knock politely and enter (the doors were always open)

And he would sit and be typing on the computer and not even acknowledge that I was there. So I feel awkward, like, do I say "excuse me", do I sit down, do I stay standing? He obviously knows that I'm there.

And like, maybe one, or two minutes would go by and he's completely ignoring me. Then all of a sudden he turns to me and says "what?" in a kind of aggressive tone, as if he's trying very hard not to scream.

So I show him the documents and he just takes a pen and signs super fast then pushes the papers to the edge of the desk and goes back to his computer screen.

That's not necessarily abusive in and of itself, but it's just the little things like that... over and over again, all day long. Also, when I spoke to him on the phone he never, ever, ever said "bye" or anything. He would just hang up in my face, every single time. I don't think I ever seen him say anything before hanging up. He said what he had to say, then *click*

I've been watching some "fear thy neighbor" episodes where they show disputes between neighbors that start over something really small and ends up in murder

One thing that seems to be a common trend in every episode is that on both sides you have someone with a strong personality who "takes no shit from anyone" and who always retaliates when the other sides does something bad to him.

Since both sides just always retaliate, the conflict just escalates and escalates and never cools down until someone takes a gun and starts shooting. In one episode the neighbor actually killed his neighbor's five children and his wife over a fence dispute.

I think it's not ALWAYS a bad thing to be a chump once in a while and to apologize to someone who doesn't deserve it just to buy some peace. Eat humble pie and all.

Not that I know of.

He's a pretty respected lawyer with 40+ years of experience. In front of outside people, like clients or visitors, he's super smiling and charming. But the minute the door is closed he literally becomes a monster.

And it's a small office, there's always no more than 5 or 6 people employed at the same time. It's not like you could go to human resources or anything.

Well in my case I was working there as an intern so I had to finish my internship... I was kind of stuck with him, because there's a stigma for leaving in the middle of an internship

Another thing about him was that he was so distrusting, and he made you know. Once he was mad at me because he asked me to send him something and he said I didn't sent it. So I said that I sent him the file by email and he said he didn't receive it. So I was like, "it's ok, I'll just email it to you again."

So he said something like "no, don't just email me the file again, forward me the email that you say you sent me"

It's like if he wanted to make a point to let me know that he didn't believe me.

A few years ago I worked for a lawyer. He was fucking awful... he would literally scream at the top of his lungs right in your face. He would constantly swear at his employees and call us things like mentally retarded, etc. He went completely off his rocker for a typo or a missing comma in an email, or if he asked us for a document and it took more than a few seconds to find it, things like that.

I worked there for a few months and there were three different secretaries during the time I was there. One secretary was constantly throwing up in the bathroom during her last week there because she couldn't handle the stress

Anyway...

Do you think it's ok for a boss to act like this?
