I was walking along an icy cliff. It looked like the south pole or something but it could've just been winter.

Anyway, so I was walking on the ice/snow and underneath was the sea.

Ahead of me I could see a big dog so I made sure not to walk too fast because i didn't want the dog to run after me or bite me. Then I notice the dog was pulling a sled and there was a guy on the sled.

At some point the dog and the sled got too close to the edge of the cliff and they fell off into the water. I though the guy did it on purpose (like he was diving or something) but then he started to scream for help from the water below.

So I walked down the path to a place where I could get into the water. Then I realized the water was cold and if I swim to go and save him I would probably get sick because of how cold the water is, and also I don't swim too well so I could just die trying to save him.

So I walked away, listening to the guy's screams. As I was walking away, at some point he stopped screaming.

So I went back and saw he was dead. So I regretted not going in to help.

What a strange dream. Seriously WTF's wrong with me.

Some TV reporter got fired a few days ago in Quebec because while they were talking about gun control he said he wish they could go hunt down separatists. The head of the separatist party said something like "imagine if instead of separatists he said black people, women or muslims. He would've been fired already." So the TV station fired him.

This lady told me that in the 1960s she was living in New York City.

She was classmates with a Korean girl. She had just recently arrived from Korea and she was talking about how things were so different in Korea. Like, she said, in New York when you go to buy clothes you can touch the clothes all you want and even try them on before buying them. But in Korea you can't touch them, you can only look at them. Things like that.

So, one day the Korean girl asked her if she wanted to get a coffee. So she said yes and they went downstairs to get a coffee.

Then the Korean girl told the lady that she had to pay for the coffee because she accepted the invitation.

Is this really a thing? Like, in Korea if someone invites you for a coffee does it mean that if you accept the invitation it's expected that you're the one who's supposed to pay?

I think there's something called the fleeing felon rule in some cases... the cops are authorized to shoot you if they think you're fleeing from them

Happens a lot with cars, like if they signal you to stop but you didn't see them or if you thought they signaled another car, they can riddle you with bullets

I had to go through an intersection like that every single day to go to work a few years ago. It was hell because the street I was turning into was a 35 mph zone so most cars were going around 40 or more.

The parked cars basically hid both lanes from view so it was near impossible to see the cars coming unless you were already halfway in the intersection, and then if someone's coming at you at full speed you have to retreat, then try to inch in again, then retreat, etc.. Sometimes you could get a glimpse of incoming traffic by looking through the windshield of some of the parked cars but it wasn't always possible.

It was just a nightmare during busy hours, especially when you have a small sedan and many of the parked cars are vans or SUVs that completely block your view

There weren't really any breaks without cars because on both sides the nearest traffic light was further away

What would you do?

Let's say that liberals think that you should exterminate all Martians while conservatives think that exterminating Martians goes against alien rights and that they should be allowed to safely get back into their ships and return to Mars.

Now, logically, the liberals are just crazy in the wrong on this point and it makes absolutely no sense to want to exterminate the martians.

Now, imagine Fox News doesn't want to be biased and they have 2 panelists who are pro extermination and 2 panelists who are anti extermination and they just give each equal time and they present this without taking sides...

well, guess what, they are being biased! Because they are giving waaaay too much credit to the side that makes no sense at all! And by giving a side more credit than it deserves, you're actually being biased to that side!

I applaud her for her generosity, but I question whether a healthy young person at 22 should be giving up a kidney to someone in their 70s when there's likely a long waitlist for transplants filled with other young, healthy individuals with many years ahead of them.
