Busy day, any way story time.

So I moved in with my brother in the middle of December because he has a horrific drinking problem. As in, it is rare that he is not actively drinking at all times during the day and he barely has time to be hung over before he drinks again. My family has a history of heart disease. This is so going to kill him. My older brother is someone whom I admired so much growing up and he is just less than a shell of himself. This has taken a tremendous toll on me and I decided to end things with my girlfriend because I was getting stressed out and she wasn't emotionally mature enough (and really shouldn't have to be) to deal with me when I am going through this much of a stress.

So I've been in a really dark place in my headspace and instead of being on here, a place that admittedly is really hard for me to come back to sometimes due to the complex experiences I've had here I've been voice chatting with people while writing and just having my soul soothed in the evening as I help close down the company my brother and brother-in-law (who I love like a brother) built.

Really trying times right now and I am trying to wrap my head around the thought of losing the only other family member I felt strongly about growing up only 4 years after my mom passed. It's been brutal but I am trying my best.

Thanks for making this topic, it felt nice to be wondered about. Unsure if that sentiment shines through correctly but it is one of appreciation.

I have a disproportionate love for Quest 64 due to me playing the game during one of the literal best periods of my life. I remember staying up all night with my friend playing this game, chomping down snack food, guzzling soda, talking about random crap, and having an amazing time. I think we were stuck in the third dungeon for half the night but I still remember having a ton of fun. I'm irrationally nostalgic for this game.

I think a lot of people feel this way. Especially if you only had an N64 and this was your one option for RPGs.

Deflate Gate was obviously goodell being forced to investigate so people wouldn't stop watching en masse, then having to double down when they actually uncovered a legitimate conspiracy.

Patriots aren't that good. They play in a shit division that guarantees them 5-6 wins per year, which goes a long way to guaranteeing them a bye, which gives them rest against the terrible Titans, for example.

Jordan was eviscerating the 90s Knicks, Barkley, Drexler, all-time Jazz and Sonics teams. Yankees played in the most stacked division in the history of baseball 20 years ago and still won. Watching the Pats take advantage of a flawed system is not entertaining or impressive.

I'm sick of the lack of parity in the AFC.
I'm sick of so many injuries derailing the entertainment value of the league.
I'm sick of there being no fairness or consistency with suspensions.
I'm sick of hearing about the anti-American protests during the National Anthem.
I'm bored of football in general.

I'm so over this league. Following the NFL has only served to infuriate me this season. It's time.

There is a world of difference between someone who dodged the draft for moral reasons and someone who dodged because he thinks he's royalty who is above everyone else, and has the nerve to pretend to be a military guy.

Assuming Trump really did "dodge" you can't assume he did so out of elitism. Maybe he was just, you know, scared--like most draft eligible men of that era.

Opposition to conscription in the 1960s certainly does not preclude anyone from being pro-military now that it is an all volunteer army.

This is good to hear. UC2 is probably my favorite game of that entire generation (albeit with somewhat limited experience). UC3 is fun so far, but so much is just mindless button tapping.

Who points to it as that? It's a little overscripted but calling it the death of mainstream gaming is stupid and I've literally never heard this.

I've heard several places point to UC3 as a microcosm for loss of agency and skill in AAA gaming. Pre-Rec (from redlettermedia), for one.

Not saying that this was the game that did it, but it's a prime example.
