It was supposed to be released today or yesterday. I was really looking forward to it, but then I found out that it was Windows store exclusive and I don't have windows 10. So there's that.

But then apparently they sold pre orders to a bunch of people only to delay the release date by over a YEAR just a few days before the expected release. Now everyone wants a refund.

the other extreme is to give you the basic knowledge, but make you solve really difficult problems that require a lot of critical thinking skills.

I think some people are better at one and others are better at the other

I mean if we had the book that exam we just did would've been super super easy because it required no critical thinking and barely any calculations

We also had to memorize the possible oxidation states for each groups with the exceptions, the solubility rules, the name of about 20 or so historical scientists and what they discovered (Lavoisier, Rutherford, Curie, etc.), and a bunch of other things. I mean this is like 5 weeks into an introductory chemistry course.

- First 20 elements were blanked on the periodic table so you had to memorize their order
- One question was to give the molar mass of calcite

I memorized the formula for like 40 compounds and ions but I don't remember calcite being on the list... so obviously I couldn't answer the question

Sucks.

Of course, I memorized the formula for calcium carbonate. I didn't know calcite was just another name for it.

Most fitness apps have terrible map features. I know because I've used several for running. Having it integrated on Google maps, where you can see the calories burned on a route ahead of time is superior.

I just can't for the life of me understand why people complain about having too much information. Why do you care if it shows the amount of calories? If you don't want it, just ignore it... seriously, I don't get it.
