And with Yuki Yuna over, all of my shows of the fall season are over. I followed some of last season's shows dubbed, so I still have three shows from the fall (four if you count Funimation immediately dubbing the Recovery of an MMO Junkie OVA and putting it up for streaming a week after the main show ends) that will be ending soon. Plus, Black Clover will be going for another 3+ cours. Leanaunfurled posted... Ooo it's such a good and clever idea to organize who makes what topic! You can actually thank the MLP Social for that idea. I used to post over there and they've had the same system for years. For them it was mainly to deal with people from outside the group creating "fake" social topics to troll, but it helped with keeping the topics timely and organized as well. So when I arrived in these Anime generals, I merely suggested the reserve list idea to these guys/gals to make the transition between topics easier, and everyone agreed that it was a good idea. So I've been in charge of maintaining the list since like topic 70 or so. It definitely helps avoid any confusion, and it makes sure that we either have the next topic ready before the current one ends OR we know who will be making it no matter what the situation. Plus, like Arthas said, the themes we use in the opening post are a fun way to get people to post pictures of characters they like, which kicks off the discussion on the first page of the new topic. If you want to reserve one of the empty slots to make a future topic, just let me know. Melee is the only time I bought a system primarily for one single game, and it was the only game I played on it for nearly a year. The GC eventually became one of my all-time favorite consoles thanks to later games I didn't know about at the time, but I first bought the system for just Smash. When I got my first DS it was mostly for Animal Crossing Wild World, but I knew for sure that Pokemon was coming to the system and I would be buying one eventually. My PS Vita is basically a Nepstation since like 90% of my playtime is with the Hyperdimension Neptunia series, but that's over multiple games. I also lost my mother when I was young (although too young to have really known her well) so I know some of the pain you're going through and will potentially feel in the future. But in other ways, I have no idea what you're going through, because you lost your father too, and I can't imagine what it's like not having either one around. All I can say is that you have the strength to make it through this trying time, even if it may not seem like it at first. You'll be okay. Katana Maidens (Japanese name is Toji No Miko) definitely started off like an average battle school anime, complete with a tournament to test the skills of the newcomers. I really like the animation and the sword fights they've shown so far, so I'll forgive the slow, cliche start and give it the usual three episode chance.  Didn't expect this though. Note that I said almost the exact same thing about the first episode of Armed Girls' Machiavellism a couple of seasons ago, and that series was able to prove that it was a solid show beyond the flashy sword fights. Let's see if Katana Maidens can do the same thing and keep my interest enough for me to stick with it. TheMarthKoopa posted... I know Tana is injured, but I heard great thinks about White, but he just didn't show it during the show, IMO I think it was just a bad spot to put Jay White in, especially since he couldn't beat an old, hobbled and decrepit Hiroshi Tanahashi. The injury really affected that match negatively, and it was pretty much DOA. White winning the title was the right thing to do to salvage it, and they didn't do it. | Calwings 01/04/18 12:41:59 PM #12 | Early game: Bulbasaur > Squirtle > Charmander Mid game: Charmander > Bulbasaur > Squirtle Late game: Squirtle > Charmander > Bulbasaur Charmander has a hard time with the first two gyms (less so in the GBA remakes thanks to Metal Claw) but destroys Erika and Koga in the middle of the game, and Charizard also immune to Giovanni's Ground attacks late. Charizard also does at least decently against every member of the Elite 4 except Lance. Squirtle is average at the beginning, struggles in the middle against Surge and Erika, then mops up Blaine, Giovanni and Bruno later on. In the GBA remakes, it learns Bite to take down Sabrina and Agatha pretty easily too, and it's also the only starter that can do well against Lance thanks to learning Ice moves. Bulbasaur is great early on, being super effective against Brock and Misty like you said, and also resisting Surge's Electric moves. But it suffers against Sabrina in the mid game, as well as against Blaine, Agatha and Lance in the late game. It helps against Giovanni and Bruno though. Oh hey I'm not the only Ivysaur vote When Brawl was the current game, I downloaded a homebrew mod for Brawl that split Pokemon Trainer's three Pokemon (as well as Zelda/Sheik and Samus/ZSS since they were still connected in that game) into separate characters and gave them each a new move to replace the Down-B used to switch between them. I was already really good with all three of them since Pokemon Trainer was one of my mains in Brawl, but I especially kicked ass with Ivysaur. His aerial game is great, Bullet Seed racked up damage like crazy, and the new Down-B move that this mod gave him (I think it was Solar Beam) was an amazing killing move. It would be cool to see Squirtle and Ivysaur back.
