I probably would have gone a little harder in this match if that was made more clear.

GSC is comfortably the worst Pokemon game until the final two bosses. They save it a bit.

HGSS realised the potential it had by filling out Kanto but it's still working within that original GSC framework, which is not great

Best for me are either RBY or BW

I worked out yesterday and Wednesday and played Squash on Thursday

The one yesterday was a brutal 2 hour deal and my shoulder still aches. I had a free pass to this ludicrously fancy gym so I went and took full advantage. 15 minute run followed by lifting weights in various different ways. Then box jumps. Then more weights. Then I did 10 minutes on one of those funky underwater treadmills. Then swam a few laps. (Then the Jacuzzi/sauna etc)

It's great I actually am starting to get visible shoulder muscle and biceps and stuff. I'm trying to exercise 5 times a week. Weights thrice, football on Mondays and then either squash or a fourth weight session

What MGS does better than literally any other series and isn't spoken about enough is the way it handled difficulty, particularly MGS2. The way the game changes in subtle ways at each difficulty level is pretty amazing - it's not just "You take more damage/enemies are harder to kill" but stuff like trap placement, guard routes, guard intelligence, where to find the bombs, how many bombs Fatman lays down...loads of cool stuff. Oh and the dog tags. It's excellent.

It absolutely is V and not 5. That's the intention of the title, it's part of the mislead. If V is 5 then Peace Walker is the actual 5, making MGSV MGS6 >_>

PO, PW and V form their own separate series/trilogy. Like Resident Evil whatever Chronicles. Or how the Ezio sequels aren't Assassin's Creed 3 and 4.

Yeah, one thing I wish is that Pokemon had adjustable catch rates. Murkrow made sense in Gen II when it was catchable so late in the game, but it's not like it's a rare/strong Pokemon in the lore.

It should be a challenge to get a Pokemon as phenomenal as Honchkrow though

The one thing I haven't liked about Pokemon games is how often any trainer that has more than 4 Pokemon will have them all at a much lower level than everybody else. So you don't get even the slightest hint of an interesting battle or much exp, just a longer waste of time.

That said it's been like this since... what, RSE? Before that? I can't remember. I don't know why Game Freak doesn't trust the player's ability to get past a decent, challenging battle. Even the bosses don't have that many Pokemon, when you always are going to have a team of 6. I feel bad about it, like I'm picking on a disabled kid or something.

They exist only to boost your exp, teach you about different moves or abilities (some trainers are blatantly programmed to use specific moves so they can show you how that move works, like Encore), or to maybe grind you down slowly if you don't have healing items. And possibly to expose weaknesses in your team but in like a gentle way so you don't get game over. They're not supposed to be a challenge, that's what the bosses are for (lol).
