Nah, the lighting is totally different in the N64 version. Ganon is basically a silhouette with you only being able to see how he looks from lightning strikes, 3DS version you can see him fully at all times. Just seeing him as a silhouette made him that much more intimidating even if he was easy.

Hum, bayonetta 2 sold over a million, almost as much as the original which according to wikipedia was at 1.35 mil. Also the game would never have happened if nintendo didn't finance it.

That's amazing to think about, the install base for Wii U was much much smaller than the Xbox 360's and PS3's.

So I played up to the point where Monika tried her hardest to get herself a happy ending with me, but ended up deleting her file and the game restarted. Everything seems normal except Monika is gone. Let me know, is there still more to this game?

This also kinda makes me curious about Natsuki's and Yuri's encounters in the first playthrough of the game, when they aren't gonna be corrupted by Monika's influence.

I must have given the wrong impression. I was just giving the canonical order but recommended he play up to City before he go back to Origins. Apologies if I made it sound otherwise.

Lots of corporate meddling, but not sure if the game would've turned out good anyway. It started as a western reboot of Sonic with redesigned characters with a vastly different (and more serious) storyline, and was gonna be about the origins of Sonic. Sega turned that story idea down because Sonic Team wanted to explore Sonic's origin story by themselves at some point.

That's...curious. So they already have that particular story on the backburner. But either way, around the time of the game's development Sega wanted to make another Sonic TV series so they mandated the game be worked around to be a tie-in, with a more lighthearted joke-y story, and used those redesigns for the cartoon. The rest is history.
