Please eplain how red is in the wrong here?

if red saw blue was trying to get out and didn't try to yield at all?

idk if that would work in USA

Probably not. That's certainly the courteous thing to do, but I think the car making the lane change is always responsible for making sure it's safe to get over.

Gyllenhaal is generally a better actor than Affleck, but Ben was a great Batman (I haven't seen Justice League, and idk if things change), so I dunno how I feel about this

Justice League was weird in that Affleck was still good as Batman, but he was one of the worst characters. Like they took the "BvS is too gloomy" criticisms and just turned Batman into a slapstick wisecracker. He's always out of breath in the background while the real heroes are dealing with stuff. It's kinda annoying.

Overall I'd say JL as at least enjoyable tho, coming from someone who didn't really like MoS and thought BvS sucked.

I think "is" is technically right since ton is singular. "Of people" is just a prepositional phrase so it shouldn't have any bearing on the rest of the sentence.

People are able to weigh accusations. Sly Stallone is still doing fine as well, and he was accused of gang raping a teenager. James Franco seems like he'll probably recover. Ben Affleck is fine. The only people who have had their careers ended were those who were known serial abusers.

Regret isn't rape.

Aziz was too pushy, she wasn't pushy enough.

Everyone in this scenario is at fault.

This whole thing didn't warrant becoming a public spectale.

#metoo is becoming a fucking joke because of shit like this, just like I said it would back in October when you all called me a monster.

The point of #metoo is for women to tell their stories. The public is allowed to react how they want. Notice some people who have been accused are still doing fine, while others lost their jobs. Weak accusations aren't going to hurt anyone, but they also don't delegitimize an otherwise noble movement.

Her attitude is the exact same attitude that led to Europe going "well, if we just give Hitler Poland then that'll make everyone happy". This idea that, somehow, giving in to the demands of insane dictators will appease them and de-escalate the whole situation is based entirely on cowardice. It's the idea that it's better to let the wrongs of the world exist than to risk anything to stop them as long as the wrongs are contained by their own borders.

Not quite. I think it's more "a sovereign nation has general discretion to do as it wants within its borders. That's the social contract after all." One sovereign nation encroaching on another violates those norms tho, and could warrant more intervention.

Tho of course I'm not speaking for her, just what I think she might say based on what I've read about her. Maybe she's said the opposite somewhere.

maybe read more than just the headlines

If President Assad is found to be responsible after an independent investigation for these horrific chemical weapons attacks, I'll be the first one to denounce him, to call him a war crime and to call for his prosecution in the International Criminal Court, she told Wolf Blitzer.

deny? no. Explicitly state that chemical attacks are war crimes and that someone who commits them should be prosecuted? yes.

She's not entirely wrong but she's also a homophobic, Islamophobic, faux-progressive who supports the far-right and war criminals so not sure why anyone on the left supports her

admittedly, I don't know anything else about her. that clip was the first I had heard of her, and her take on NK is better than the vast majority I've seen

Don't listen to him. He seems to lack context. She grew up in a very conservative household and shared those views earlier on in her life but has come around on them since, and now talks about spreading the "aloha spirit" of Hawaii, and general acceptance and love. She votes mostly in line with the democratic party She's got an anti-interventionist mentality when it comes to foreign diplomacy which means she's generally "supports" Assad's regime instead of the ISIS rebels. Nobody has a good answer to Syria lol.
