However, the provisions of this section shall not apply to persons (i) wearing traditional holiday costumes; (ii) engaged in professions, trades, employment or other activities and wearing protective masks which are deemed necessary for the physical safety of the wearer or other persons; (iii) engaged in any bona fide theatrical production or masquerade ball; or (iv) wearing a mask, hood or other device for bona fide medical reasons upon (a) the advice of a licensed physician or osteopath and carrying on his person an affidavit from the physician or osteopath specifying the medical necessity for wearing the device and the date on which the wearing of the device will no longer be necessary and providing a brief description of the device, or (b) the declaration of a disaster or state of emergency by the Governor in response to a public health emergency where the emergency declaration expressly waives this section, defines the mask appropriate for the emergency, and provides for the duration of the waiver. The violation of any provisions of this section is a Class 6 felony. Hmm...seems it's 16 and they added all these exceptions since the last time I looked it up. I've got to renew my CCNP cert by April of 2019, so I'm gonna aim to get back on the ball early next year. I spent about 4.5 years reading through certification guides and studying and taking exams, so I figure it wouldn't hurt to take some time off from doing that. It's good to take a break from it. Can't study all the time. I've been lazy myself and studying on and off for the last year to get my vSphere 6 pro cert. I'll take it eventually....lol Unless your job requires you to renew it, then don't worry about it. All of my certs have expired already. You're just using the cert to get to the next level in your career. Keep focusing on future certs....which of course they renew your old certs but still. Point is, unless you've let it expire 10 years ago then don't worry. Godnorgosh posted... It's kinda rough that there's never a point where you can be like, okay, I've learned everything I need to learn, now I can just grind and go home and relax. But I guess a lot of careers are going in that direction. Continuing education is a growing trend. Well it depends. If you are happy at your one job and want to keep it until retirement then you'll probably never have to study for another cert ever again. On the flip side, the more motivation you have to study in your off time, the more opportunities open up for you. The main reason I got my current job was because my boss was impressed with my study habits. It showed him that I was hungry and wanted a challenge. Didn't have anything to do with my certs. --- |

Probably go through a period of complete anger at her but don't do anything rash during this time. It too will passs and you'll be successfully over the relationship and ready to move on. --- |

I never was the one to initiate things with my friends either. That was most of my life right into a period of depression I had. Downturn in my life for numerous reasons. At one point during that period, I decided to start forcing myself to be more social. I would go out of my way to invite people to do things. People that I would speak to on FB but never hang out with in person, I decided to correct that and set up in person meet ups. People would start inviting me places now. Not just simple things like going out to dinner but to run with the running club, go see a roller derby game in a small town an hour away, go to a bar, etc. (Side note, I thought I'd hate the bar but turns out my friend was playing his first acoustic show there. What luck!) Things that I never would have said yes to in the past but now going to. Not everything I enjoyed but some stuff I had a blast doing and met a lot of cool people. I'm giving you all this preface so the real story doesn't sound like she fell into my lap or anything. I made plans with my cousin to go to Chicago to watch my friend graduate from Navy boot camp. A week later he tells me that he forgot he already told his best friend(who hated me at the time) that he'd go to Memphis to a music festival. These two trips overlapped by a day but he asked me if I'd be willing to do both. "Drive from Virginia to Chicago to Memphis and back home in 5 days? You're crazy." Then I thought for a minute...."fuck it. Let's do it." It was insane to me but there wasn't a reason to not do it. Anyways, to fast forward, I spent the next 5 days in a car and strange cities with my cousin and his best friend. I connected with her and on the way home I made another bold move by asking her out. If she said no then whatever, no big deal. I'll just move on. She said yes, and now we've been married for almost 4 years. --- |
