From there, you could have interviewed key stakeholders to ensure what they wanted out of the project was well documented and feasible . Adjust the schedule. Adjust the budget, and get to work. If you landed with a running start without a real plan to get the project back on track, you kinda let yourself walk into a trap. It doesnt appear to be targeted at you. But asking for a raise prior to exhibiting measurable results was not the way to go. --- If you're not getting promoted, it's not because you're not good at your job. Even if we concede the fact that dinosaur bones weren't planted by the satan devil to trick us, just accepting the evidence that a giant space rock hit earth means that we could get hit at any time, and before half life 3 comes out to boot The earth has been hit with many many asteroids over Its history, especially early earth because the solar system was a lot younger then. However, most of those hits were pre life earth. But yes, an extinction level asteroid can hit our planet at any time and there isnt much we can currently do about it. The current theory is that the solar system is relatively safe and clutter free because of the gravitational pull of the gas giants, mostly Jupiter, preventing them from reaching the inner solar system. --- If you're not getting promoted, it's not because you're not good at your job.
