SEPlito, you're being very un-seaworthy.

He never once said he was late coming to work because of coffee or a tv show. He said he was late punching back in from break once he knew about the grace period. Every mention of being late for work involved a home situation or random construction.

And yes, I said random. From what TC was consistent in saying, there was construction that made him ten-fifteen minutes late. I am sure he corrected for that and arrived early for his shifts after that to compensate for the construction. The next late weeks later sounds like he thought construction was over and went back to his old routine only to be caught up unexpectedly, though I don't know how constant the construction was (aside from TC commenting it seemed like they only worked 2-3 hours a day). He also noted others got caught out late too.

From what everything sounds like, manager 5 is a petty dick stirring up drama because he can (I have a coworker like this I hope never takes up a management position because he would absolutely focus on trying to get people fired), and corporate's being corporate.

Hope the appeals go through in your favor, and you take more care.

Not yet, I was too busy to call, had errands and phone interviews after my in person interview. I took a minute and swung by my Job while I was in the area and my head boss who told me to file the appeal basically confirmed what I thought, that Friday was holidays for them.

even if I spoke to them, this initial call wouldnt of been a decision on the appeal

I don't think what TC described is in the scope of what management said. I can see an argument for finishing your lunch and going over once, maybe twice. But for just finishing a show? That isn't an acceptable answer and if it becomes a pattern that's when you get let go.

yeah was 5 tardies over the entire month, counting the lunches I was miss informed of and one of those 5 tardies is by a minute.

the other two are construction issues that caught most of the store.

basically only applying for the appeal because Id like to make it another 6 months for a specific bonus.

also based on the advice I got from other stores head managers (because Im good at my job Ive been sent to help out other stores in the district so I have a working relationship with a lot of people) Ive got a legit chance to win the appeal, and the grace period is something thats pretty common at most stores, he does it at his for example.

oh when I filed the appeal it was said it would likely take a whole month to finish.

Ive seen at least 3 appeals go through, the two I specifically remember they where out for at least month, with the one person finding a better job during the wait.

the appeal is more of an insurance policy for me, it allows me to explore the job market while having a job as back up
