..made? I mean most of you have worked in fast food or retail or customer service before right, and some customers are very very tough on even minor mistakes, idk, like if you give them back the wrong change by a small amount or something and they might absolutely lose it.

Well tbh I am very bad with time and it feels like it flows differently for me. I only realized it was an hour after thinking it had been a while, to me it felt like only 10 minutes had passed.

Something I'll never forget is having one of those assholes apologize profusely at the end of the phone call. I was managing a locally owned pizza place at the time and had a guy call up complaining to me because his pizza was greasy. I told him well you got all meat and double cheese so it will have more grease than normal, I even offered to remake it for him and have it delivered to him for free. He started screaming at me and I just lost it and shut him down with a quickness. Never had a problem with that guy again.

I know, sometimes it's a bit hard to check everything for everyone or I don't want to hold up the line. Again, everyone makes mistakes.

Sometimes it can really be annoying though. Especially lately with food prices going up and everywhere being understaffed.

Working in retail before, I've been in that bullshit situation where we're short staffed, and there's literally no way of helping the fact people will have to wait.

So there's degrees in which I try to make a read as a customer:
Mistakes happen/or they're observably in a difficult situation at the store
Benefit of the fact they're going through shit. Unlike professional news anchors and stuff, it's not like some min wage worker has had the training or expectations of having a display of minimally-faltered composure.

My leniency ends if they're consciously just being stupid or I revisit the store and they're on the same shit multiple times in a row. I haven't been shorted what I paid for necessarily, so my response has been just not going back to that store.
