It definitely had potential to be great, w/ Barry coming to terms and accepting his mother's death and even having to accept that the entire Michael Keaton Earth was just doomed to destruction by Zod, but it was just hampered down by so many other problems and unlikeable characters

The lightsaber vs starfighter fight is the silliest thing Ive ever seen in Star Wars. Or at least on par with Leia Poppins

I was loling hard when the dude flew close enough to the ship to get slashed by the saber, so dumb. But the whole scene was a bit light hearted, so it wasnt too jarring for me.

Leia Poppins was way worse because it was supposed to be a serious moment like Leia is dead, and it just looked so uncanny valley goofy

That space battle/chase was great, felt like the most Star Wars-y thing I have seen since the prequels, just a fun chase w/ danger and a great musical score. Filoni is at least good at capturing the same Star Wars atmosphere as the old movies, this actually feels like the same universe (I never watched Clone Wars or Rebels)

Hopefully the plot is good, nothing really happened this episode story-wise

Tears of the Kingdom has been sucking up a lot of my time lately, and I just got Dragon Ball Fighterz, but I still try to smash when I can

Yes at the end of the last episode he flies up into the sky and grabs lighting and it becomes a weapon. Sure you could say he turned it into rubber but that means turning things into rubber basically lets him do whatever he wants.

Meh not really, Luffy has always been able to interact with lightning because he is rubber, that's how he was able to punch Enel the lightning man without haki. Grabbing the lightning is more just an evolution of his rubber powers.

Also, very possible he's at peak power. There are still DF weaknesses, and BB has a direct counter to seemingly everything. Just because he's at peak power doesn't mean he just plows through to Laugh Tale. Still plenty of obstacle left.

Do we have any evidence that the loony tunes stuff is a tangible power? To me it just looks like Oda changes his art style a bit to reflect Luffy's amplified care free personality, but as far as powers, Luffy is still just a rubber man who can now also turn his environment into rubber (and seemingly got a big strength/speed boost in Gear 5). Luffy can do some crazy stuff w/ the environment after turning it into rubber, but he isn't like The Mask where his powers are only limited by his imagination.

Luffy could be at peak power too, Oda definitely likes to buck the typical battle manga trend of new powerups for his characters all the time (hell Luffy was the same strength from beginning of series to Enes Lobby), that wouldn't surprise me. I am predicting Luffy and Kizaru will have a decent fight but Luffy should still be above Admiral level, however Saturn is the wild card, who knows how strong the Five Elders are. The Elbaf arc should be epic if Shanks is still there too

Ah yeah I just reread it and it was a little more one sided than I remembered. Kizaru will probably knock Luffy down a few pegs though now, no way Luffy is at peak power yet. And no way does he have some "toon force" invulnerability like The Mask

Toriyama only ever had a few chapters planned at a time, when you realize that it is pretty incredible what he was able to do with Dragon Ball over all those years without getting too lost in the sauce. I also think AT's humor is way better than most modern mangas, despite being from the 80s.

Pretty much any modern day mangaka will credit AT and Dragon Ball as a huge inspiration for their own work, regularly topping lists of the greatest mangakas of all time, often compared to people like Jack Kirby. Despite what all the edgy weebs here want to think, AT is objectively a "good writer"

Eh, to be fair DBZ is not consistent with DB either as I mentioned somewhat earlier. The franchise is best viewed as three series that *loosely* pull on each other rather than being full canons of each other. This is largely because Toriyama has over time tried to make things more consistent as time went on. OG Dragonball can best be compared to Silver Age American comics, where the rules were REALLY fucking loose. As time goes by the franchise tries to standardize more and more, which is how we got the Power Level system. That, too, though eventually was more of a hindrance than a help and got dumped.

Things are pretty internally consistent inside Super at this point but it clearly gives zero fucks about how it relates to DBZ.

There is no such thing as DBZ as far as the original manga is concerned. The Z was put on there just for marketing a new season of the anime. Toriyama published Dragon Ball one week after another, going from Pilaf to Buu, no new series name, nothing. It is all just Dragon Ball. Get out of here with your silver age bull shit

I loved the music in this movie, felt like a big throwback to the 90s/00s superhero flicks with the classic giant orchestra/band behind it.

Most the movie was pretty meh though, Ezras Barry Allen is sooooo annoying in the DCEU. The more serious, mentor Barry is the only time he is tolerable.

With all of that said, Yajirobe is much weaker than the other humans during the Saiyan Saga. Probably under 1,000. And he mutilated Vegeta with a power around 150,000 - 160,000. This is a Yajirobe that is not during nuke level damage to anyone.

My guy Tao Pai Pai threw a stone pillar 2300 kilometers and rode it like a surf board, and almost hit Goku in the face with it from that distance. Raditz is way, way, way stronger than this dude.

Goku got shot in the head and was fine and was lifting up cars no problem with 0 training at the beginning of Dragon Ball.

Honestly, they have the same alcohol content as normal mass produced beer, and if you drink socially for the buzz it's a good option.

Edit: Also, yeah the drunk binge eating can be problematic...try a bag of beef jerky or something with less carbs and some non-sugary juice or tea. Peanut butter on whole wheat is another good substitute for something like pizza, it fills you up quick, it's satisfying, with less fat and carbs.

Yeah I pretty much only drink coors lights, seltzers, low calorie drinks, the issue is I just drink too much and get wasted then really hung over. Ruin a whole weeks worth of healthy eating w/ a weekend of drinking and cheat meals

I have plateaued at 180 the last few weeks, trying to get down to 165. For me it is the binge drinking on weekends, lots of extra calories plus being hung over means instead of going to the gym and eating healthy, I sit around and eat a whole pizza lol

Cutting out alcohol for the next few weeks to hopefully get my weight loss back on track

Thats why the colored manga is the best way to experience one piece.

You get great art, bright colorful world, characters so vivid they practically pop out of the page and the pacing isnt ass.

Yeah I haven't even touched the anime, it is way too long. You gotta read the manga. And even then, there are a few arcs that still feel like filler arcs lol but overall it is worth it
