This sim has Iowa's number alright. I imagine the Hawkeyes would have done a bit better if Cade McNamara were healthy - back-up Deacon Hill completed less than half of his passes, and threw 3 interceptions. Former Wolverine Erick All scored the only touchdown of the game on a 1-yard pass.

Nice

117) Texas State vs 140) Central Arkansas

The Bobcats got all the way down to the Central Arkansas 1 on their opening drive but settled for a field goal. They then took the ball from their own 5 and reached the Central Arkansas 30 before converting a 47-yard kick. 6-0 after quarter #1. The Bears got a pretty solid drive going, reaching the Texas St 6 after starting at their own 20, but a false start moves them back and Jake Gaster beefs a 28-yard kick. Texas State seizes the opportunity, marching 89 yards for a touchdown on a 18-yard pass from TJ Finley to Drew Donley. Deja vu for Central Arkansas as they again make it to the Texas St red zone from their own 20, but the Bobcat defense forces another 4th down and the Bears' FG attempt is the same as their placekicker - no good. Texas State completes a 56-yard hail mary on the last play of the half to take a 20-0 lead.

The teams trade punts to start the 2nd half, then Central Arkansas finally gets on the board on a 43-yard touchdown scamper by ShunDerrick Powell. Texas State can only gain 1 yard on their next drive, giving the Bears a short field, and finally Gaster sends a kick through the uprights to cut the lead to 10 early in the 4th. The Bobcat offense is completely out of sorts this half - this drive they move backwards 6 yards before punting. The Bears again take advantage of the short field, this time pounding it in at the goal line after a 31-yard Powell run got them into the red zone, 20-17 Texas St. The Bobcats actually gain 20 yards to start their next series.........then go 2 yards in 3 plays and punt yet again. Central Arkansas has much further to go this time, taking over at their own 18, but QB Will McElvain gets the Bears into the red zone in one play on a 1st down bomb to Myles Butler. Knowing they don't have much of a kicker, the Bears go for the win, and RB Powell again finds the end zone on a 10-yard run with only a minute left:

The Bobcats.........then go 2 yards in 3 plays and punt yet again

140) Central Arkansas 24, 117) Texas State 20
Central Arkansas - 0 | 0 | 7 | 17
Texas State - 6 | 14 | 0 | 0

ShunDerrick Powell (CAU) - 17 carries, 199 yards, 2 TDs
TJ Finley (TSU) - 15/25 passing, 245 yards, 2 TDs

A tale of two halves; what a comeback. I think Powell stole the entire Texas State offense's talent at halftime, Space Jam style.

76) James Madison 33, 181) Monmouth 13
James Madison - 6 | 14 | 10 | 3
Monmouth - 3 | 7 | 0 | 3

Jordan McCloud (James) - 17/23 passing, 223 yards, 2 TD
Kaelon Black (James) - 17 carries, 114 yards, 1 TD
Marquez McCray (Mon) - 19/26 passing, 323 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
Assanti Kearney (Mon) - 6 catches, 119 yards, 1 TD

Monmouth actually had the lead for a few minutes in the 2nd quarter. Then James Madison stepped on the gas and didn't look back.

53) Baylor 20, 204) McNeese State 3
Baylor - 3 | 7 | 0 | 10
McNeese State - 0 | 0 | 3 | 0

Sawyer Robertson (Bay) - 19/28 passing, 193 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT

Baylor has been pretty terrible irl and can't score on good teams, so I buy this

60) Air Force 31, 197) Eastern Illinois 10
Air Force - 0 | 14 | 7 | 10
Eastern Illinois - 7 | 0 | 3 | 0

Zachary Larrier (AF) - 2/3 passing, 102 yards, 1 TD

Well the sim got Air Force's offensive style right.......they might be even more run heavy than Army these days. Larrier's QBR was 462.3, with a 34-yard-per-pass-attempt average, lol. The Falcons sported a big-play offense in this one - Larrier bombed a 61-yard touchdown pass, and two different Air Force running backs scored on 50+ yard runs.

92) Western Kentucky vs 165) Princeton

Princeton gets a short field after forcing a 3-and-out on WKU's first possession, and they take advantage, scoring on a 2-yard Dareion Murphy run on their 5th play. The Hilltoppers tie it on a 9-yard Austin Reed pass to Aaron Key late in the quarter. Princeton should 100% have the lead at halftime, but smart kids can't kick, I guess - PK Jeffrey Sexton misses from 49, 38, and 28 yards away. 7-7 at the break.

WKU sets out from their own 11 to start the 2nd half, but they managed to get all the way inside the Princeton 10 for a 25-yard FG from Lucas Carneiro. Sexton now has seen what a made field goal looks like and is able to replicate it, after a 17-play drive in which the Tigers went 4/5 on 3rd down. The Princeton offense then realizes it's better to just get all the way to the end zone, and they do just that on a 57-yard drive that had no 3rd down attempts (would have even scored in Canadian football). 17-10 heading into the 4th. The Hilltoppers have a drive going in the middle of the quarter, but on 4th & 7 from the Princeton 10, they opt for the field goal, 17-13. WKU again gets into the red zone after a Princeton 3-and-out, but they again stall before the end zone, this time finding themselves in a 4th & 5 at the 13. There is time to get the ball back, and the WKU again plays it safe with the field goal. The Hilltopper defense does in fact force another 3-and-out, giving WKU the ball around their own 40, but they can't do anything with it.

165) Princeton 17, 92) Western Kentucky 16
Princeton - 7 | 0 | 10 | 0
Western Kentucky - 7 | 0 | 3 | 6

Ivy League is a power conference. This sim is pretty good, especially at keeping up to date on most teams in terms of play style/injuries, but they need to add just a few more basic things for it to really be realistic: going for it on 4th down & going for 2 when necessary, fumbles, and just overall better clock awareness.

Fun fact: you can watch Western Kentucky later tonight in action against Louisiana Tech, and decide for yourself if Princeton would beat them or not

37) Duke 30, 220) Stony Brook 3
Duke - 3 | 10 | 10 | 7
Stony Brook - 0 | 0 | 0 | 3

Slow start for the Blue Devil offense, but they got it rolling well enough by the 3rd quarter.

101) Northern Illinois vs 156) Stephen F Austin

Stone Cold Stephen F Austin gets a short field after Northern Illinois goes 3-and-out on their opening drive, and the Lumberjacks convert on a 6-yard Brian Mauer touchdown run. They extend the lead to 10 late in the quarter on a 47-yard FG by Chris Campos, but the Huskies then answer with an 80-yard TD drive. After an interception thrown by 12th-year senior and former MSU Spartan Rocky Lombardi (they could probably use him about now), the Lumberjacks march down into the NIU red zone and hit another field goal to go up 13-7 at the half.

In the 3rd quarter, NIU gets pinned at their own 8 but manages to get to the SFA 30 and hit a long field goal to cut the lead in half. Not finishing drives ends up costing them though - in the 4th quarter, Brian Mauer busts a 26-yard touchdown run which ends up being the dagger.

156) Stephen F Austin 20, 101) Northern Illinois 10
Stephen F Austin - 10 | 3 | 0 | 7
Northern Illinois - 0 | 7 | 3 | 0

Brian Mauer (SFA) - 6 carries, 58 yards, 2 TDs

The Lumberjacks end up doubling up the Huskies in a stone-cold stunner. UHHHHH. HELLLLLL. YEEEAAAHHHH.

28) Miami, FL 37, 229) St. Thomas-MN 14
Miami, FL - 3 | 14 | 10 | 10
St. Thomas-MN - 0 | 7 | 7 | 0

Shawn Shipman (STMN) - 14 carries, 204 yards, 2 TDs
Tyler Van Dyke (Miami) - 18/26 passing, 161 yards, 3 TDs
Xavier Restrepo (Miami) - 8 catches, 82 yards, 2 TDs

Shipman and his blockers kept St. Thomas in the game into the 3rd quarter - they had been down 17-0, but Shipman's TD runs of 67 and 73 yards cut the lead to 20-14......before Miami finished the game the way they started, with a 17-0 run.

Caleb Williams (USC) - 18/30 passing, 149 yards, 4 TDS, 0 INTs
Austin Jones (USC) - 8 carries for 133 yards
MarShawn Lloyd (USC) - 12 carries for 118 yards

The Trojan offense gained plenty of yards, but they will need to work on finishing drives for when they face decent competition. Still, it really wasn't even as close as the final score suggests.

124) Temple vs 133) UTEP

UTEP's Gavin Hardison throws an interception on the third play of the game, but Temple can't get a first down and they miss a long field goal. Excellent start, some real trash kings of the FBS here. On Temple's second drive, however, EJ Warner throws a 42-yard pass, and Darvon Hubbard takes off for a 33-yard TD run, 7-0 Owls. Deion Hankins then tears off a 42-yard touchdown run to even it up at 7 at the end of the 1st quarter. In the 2nd, the Owls have to punt from their own 2, and UTEP returns the punt 11 yards to set themselves up at the Temple 27. ......they cannot get a first down and settle for a field goal. Incredible. UTEP gets another very short field, but actually punches it in this time on a 4-yard Jake McNamara run. 17-7 Miners at halftime.

Temple opens the 2nd half with a solid drive, but they stall inside the 5 and have to take a chip shot field goal. After a UTEP 3-and-out, however, Warner starts slinging it all over the place for the Owls, completing passes of 28, 17 and 5 yards. This sets up a game-tying TD run by Hubbard from 4 yards out. Then we get an incredible stretch of 9 punts in a row, 6 of the possessions being 3-and-outs, delicious. Finally with about 7 minutes left in the game, Temple manages to get back into the Miner red zone. They stall, but Camden Price nails a 34-yard kick to put the Owls up 20-17. The UTEP offense simply refuses to show up the entire 2nd half.

124) Temple 20, 133) UTEP 17
Temple - 7 | 0 | 10 | 3
UTEP - 7 | 10 | 0 | 0

Deion Hankins (UTEP) - 14 carries for 118 yards, 1 TD
Darvon Hubbard (Temp) - 7 carries for 59 yards, 2 TDs

UTEP's offense in the 2nd half: 3 first downs, 87 total yards. Between the two teams, there were 23 punts and 955 total punting yards.

69) Colorado 24, 188) Towson 13
Colorado - 14 | 3 | 7 | 0
Towson - 7 | 0 | 3 | 3

Sheduer Sanders (Colo) - 31/41 passing, 340 yards, 3 TDs
Jimmy Horn Jr (Colo) - 9 catches for 143 yards, 1 TD

Colorado scored touchdowns on their first 2 drives, then farted around for 50 minutes. Pretty sure Coach Prime left at some point to go shoot an Aflac commercial and no one noticed.

The Banjo announcement was one of the hypest things ever. Pac-Man is the 2nd-best Wii U newcomer imo, after Mega Man.

I gotta start doing shorter game summaries so that this doesn't take the rest of the calendar year

84) Liberty 48, 173) Kennesaw State 0
Liberty - 14 | 10 | 17 | 7
Kennesaw State - 0 | 0 | 0 | 0

Kaidon Salter (Lib) - 19/23 passing, 367 yards, 5 TDs, 0 INTs; 11 carries for 41 yards, 1 rush TD

There we go, that was pretty straightforward. It was the Salter show. Kennesaw's quarterback could actually scramble pretty well too (15 carries, 66 yards), but the passing numbers are.......yikes - 6/15, 80 yards.

45) Cincinnati 51, 212) North Carolina A&T 0
Cincinnati - 6 | 14 | 7 | 24
North Carolina A&T - 0 | 0 | 0 | 0

Emory Jones (Cin) - 18/26 passing, 177 yards, 3 TDs
Zachary Yeager (A&T) - 6/14 passing, 20 yards, 1 INT :(

Yyyyyyyyyep. They really poured it on in the 4th quarter lol.

109) Vanderbilt vs 148) Kent State

Ugly first half. Kent State with 2 field goals to Vandy's 1. On Kent State's 2nd kick they actually went from their own 14 to first & goal at the Vanderbilt 6, but only got 3 yards in 3 plays. Vandy ties it at 6 on a 37-yarder in the 3rd quarter. Pretty much first touchdown wins at this point. Late in the game, we get this sequence:

Down: 1 Distance: 10 on Opp 24 -- Pass by AJ Swann (Vandy) INTERCEPTED

Down: 1 Distance: 10 on Own 24 -- PENALTY: False Start
Down: 1 Distance: 15 on Own 19 -- Pass by Michael Alaimo (Kent) INTERCEPTED

Down: 1 Distance: 10 on Opp 19 -- Pass by AJ Swann (Vandy) complete to Jayden McGowan for 4 yds
Down: 2 Distance: 6 on Opp 15 -- Pass by AJ Swann (Vandy) complete to Will Sheppard for 15 yds TOUCHDOWN

109) Vanderbilt 13, 148) Kent State 6
Vanderbilt - 0 | 3 | 3 | 7
Kent State - 3 | 3 | 0 | 0

Vanderbilt "wins", with 46 whole rushing yards. Both teams owe the viewers an apology - terrible, take a lap.

20) Oregon State vs 237) Grambling State

Grambling kicks off, but forces a punt and moves the ball 68 yards down the field for a 3-yard touchdown pass by Myles Crawley to Javon Robinson. The Beavers immediately respond with a balanced offensive attack, with Damien Martinez racking up yards on the ground, and Uiagalelei passing & rushing. 7-7 after the 80-yard touchdown drive. The teams trade field goals to end the 1st quarter, then Grambling finds the end zone again with a short field. Following a Beaver punt, the Tigers put together a 73-yard touchdown drive, and somehow it is Grambling 24, Oregon State 10 at the half. Neither offense has much juice left in the 2nd half, with Grambling hitting 2 field goals and Oregon State hitting one.

237) Grambling State 30, 20) Oregon State 13
Grambling - 10 | 14 | 3 | 3
Oregon State - 10 | 0 | 3 | 0

Myles Crawley (Gram) - 20/37 passing, 136 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT
D.J. Uiagalelei (OSU) - 12/21 passing, 140, 0 TDs, 1 INT
Damien Martinez (OSU) - 11 carries, 103 yards, 1 TD

This sim is way too friendly to FCS teams.
I will now go ahead and agree with this. But Uiagalelei struggled at Clemson, and a tiger would totally beat a beaver irl >_>

Submitted. I was just playing my crossword app in fact, which plays an ad every time you complete a puzzle. Don't really mind it at all since the app is free, and once I've finished one I usually want a mental break anyway.
