Freminet trial got me an achievement for killing an enemy with Shatter which I have apparently never done in two years playing.

Also reminded me I don't even have Mika for his phys buff so I'm even less tempted to try to pull for him.

Rememberance depends on if the boss is immune to freeze or not. The SU7 deer doesn't so it gets absolutely destroyed. The others, I dunno.

I remember falling off pretty hard in one of the post-Ward seasons (with Breezy and the Martin stuff...) and then tried to binge the rest in the leadup to the show ending. I got to islands at which point the show has become fucking incredible again but got way too burned out lol

This is way more similar to a Bioware game than it is to an Elder Scrolls. I mean, the original BGs are literally Bioware games. It just has more simulationist gameplay elements, but that's something TES shares with tabletop D&D.

Traces (and artifacts) are so much harder to grind for than in Genshin. I'm gonna be grinding Nihility to max out Kafka and build Luka for ages.

Haven't even touched the new event yet, probably should get that out of the way before the SU update hits.

I feel like there's so many odd values because they want you to take feats over ASIs but screw that.

And some characters have bad default subclasses too. Mostly Shadowheart but I think Asterion's default when it unlocks was Arcane Trickster and the other two are way better.

It looks like they cut that midway through early access.

Companions still complain they want a rest pretty frequently, but a lot of times you still will have short rests available. Maybe if you only got one short rest a day or something. I'm playing a bard so actually I have 3, lol.

Yeah and weirdly enough these long rest events are loaded into Act 1 where you are still getting to know the characters and even unlocking game mechanics via the Guardian letting you use tadpoles. They become way less important in Acts 2 or 3. In Act 3 I've received maybe 4 or 5 nighttime events, that's it.

The time-gating problem is very unintuitive especially because at the start of the game the party is convinced they don't have long to live, which makes narrative sense but isn't actually true. And it's also a balance thing because encounters seem to be made with an assumption that you have a lot of resources, but people who are used to 5e or this type of strategy game can stretch those resources out fairly efficiently.

I think they should definitely mark time-sensitive (not progression sensitive necessarily) events in the journal, as well as just put a popup the first time you go to camp that resting gives you cutscenes.

Yeah trying to get my Natasha right has made me just want another 5* sustain unit so I don't have to sweat it as much

But...I really don't like Fu Xuan, nor do I have the gems since I want to go for Topaz next patch. I guess I can hope Lynx + Clara is an improvement but I kinda doubt Lynx will be a Nat upgrade at C0.

What I really want is a Fire solo sustain unit (Trailblazer doesn't count) so I can live the mono-fire meme dream with Topaz/Himeko/Asta/sustain

Oh he was also in Close Enough aka Regular Show for adults. Absolutely perfect use of him

While he is in a lot of things, it doesn't feel like he is in EVERYTHING and I can't think of instances where he dominates as a guest role.

Like this might be because I've read the comics but he doesn't break my understanding of Rex Splode. Rex sucks. That's a good cast, he's doing a great job at it. Besides that I think the biggest things I've seen him in are The Good Place and Brooklyn 99 which have such strong casts there's just no way he can steal too much spotlight.

The plan for me is to save until whenever Furina drops, so at least another patch.

Genshin has no PVP either. Its a good thing imo otherwise people are always chasing the latest powercrept unit that makes everything else look like shit over and over

I mean they still do that for the PvE content even though these games are shockingly well balanced with almost every unit being viable

At this point I've lost multiple SU runs to encountering one of the Trotters with the counterattack AOE when you hit it, and I brought Gepard as my sustain and his ult just isn't up at the start of the battle and I go "guess I'll die!" Embarrassing.

Gotta remember to use his technique just in case.

I kind of get it, given how awkwardly the Luofu storyline has gone in general. I think it was pretty disappointing compared to Belobog, despite the great conclusion in 1.2. But in general people seem to be hungry for content which is weird in a game this new.

Personally I'm not even up to date on character stories lol

I've also noticed a bit of resentment from Genshin cross-players or the hoyoverse fandom or whatever, I think Genshin players who picked this game up during the filler patches were assuming that because the devs don't have to make a big explorable world, updates would have more to them. Now the shoe is on the other foot and Genshin has dropped a huge update during this game's slow period, I think those things are probably driving a lot of complaints

I was gonna wait for patch to do my SU but you know, I am still missing a couple of the codex entries. It's probably gonna be more annoying to complete after the update adds more stuff, huh?

Genshin is the same really despite Hoyoverses efforts to stop leaks from happening. I mean we saw characters for Genshin that were still like 2 years away from being released when they were originally leaked and some of them still arent out.

The characters that will be added yeah, because many of them appear in the story well in advance. But kits and animations are on total lockdown until they're almost about to drop. Star Rail has like the next year of WIP kits out in the wild

The amount of leaks this game has is crazy

I feel like you need at least EL3 to catch up on the story but idk. But yeah definitely if the enemies are scaling higher than you something is up and you should increase your levels. The hardest stuff is always going to be a few levels above your cap though.

I think 4->5 is also a moderate difficulty spike, and gets a bit grindy. But it's also a good point at which to burn your fuel. IIRC the main benefit of EQ6 is relics, so it's not necessarily worth it unless you're grinding endgame.

I don't think you lose out on too much currency if you don't ascend your equilibrium, if that's your main goal. It's basically, one or two tiers of SU rewards (amounts to like 2.5-5 pulls) and MoC rewards which is about 10 pulls max per patch but realistically is gonna be half or less while you build two teams. So it depends on if that's worth it to you. A4 and A5 are fine places to sit at.

Animation power creep is so real

Mismatched set is mostly fine but some set bonuses are important, and hackerspace is one of them.

I guess I can use some self-modeling resin since there's a new patch coming and we'll get more, but it feels bad to use them on stuff that's fine to farm even if I don't really have any other use for them anyways.

Still avoiding reading the topic until the PS5 version is out. As mentioned ages ago this will be my first game of this type. Looking up info I think I've narrowed down what I would like my first playthrough class to be to 2, purely aesthetically. Obviously I'm sure I will be able to play whatever I want, but do want to know if either of these may not be the best for a complete beginner. Note I will not be playing co-op.

Storm Sorceror
Tempest Cleric

Casters can be a little complicated as a newbie but these are two good ones to pick if you just want to blast people

Sorc is probably the better option considering one of the companions is already a Cleric, and Sorcerer's charisma helps with dialogue options. You can respec any character to any class though, but most people stick with minor tweaks and a I've seen a lot of people end up making her the Tempest Cleric.

RIP double cavern drop event

Farmed the hackerspace domain all week and only got 1 5* speed boots. And no crit damage body for Bronya. Guess I'm sticking with 4* for a while

For anyone trying to get their reputation up, Fontaine has a bunch of unmarked World Quests so consider using a guide unless you enjoy talking to random NPCs.

Without Fu Xuan I have no use for the Preservation cone and I got burned by leveling the Destruction one when I pulled Clara's and I don't even have a second character to put that on right now, so for me going deep on units I'm already using is the call.

I'll probably pick this up at some point when I have enough bonds for S5 and the leveling mats for it just because I need so many god damn Nihility cones

Honestly tempted to buy Welt's from the glitter store too since most cones are trash on him

I've managed to 3 star everything this cycle up to MoC 9. Natasha can't keep up with the healing anymore so looks I'm going to have to improve her build a lot.

Well I figured it would probably work like that, but the dot portion of her ult is like 3x stronger than the normal damage at minimum without any extra dots, so it's much harder to do

Wow Kafka's ult doesn't work for the "finish a battle with an ultimate" daily mission because it's proccing the DoT damage I guess.

Literally unplayable

I straight up don't think there's enough 4 stars to avoid rerunning them every 3-4 banners. I think Arlan is the only one who hasn't had multiple rate ups yet.

Be thankful we're not at Genshin levels yet where it takes certain 4 stars like 6 months to rerun

Oh fuck yes new character, Luka cons and I don't even have Sushang. I see this as an absolute win!

I finished the Archon Quest last night. Not as strong as Sumeru's opener but I think that's gonna be hard to top for me. The Phoenix Wright homage is cute even if it's not very good lol. Didn't expect to enjoy Navia's character so much and Neuvilette seems to be strongly implied to be the Hydro Dragon(?) which is interesting at least. Plus I'm a sucker for any Childe or other "good" Fatui content.

Haven't explored too much yet but the region is very chill to go around which is a welcome change of pace. I'm surprised how nice the underwater areas are.

zenless zone zero isn't real it's just an excuse for mihoyo to drop sick trailers instead of the game

Spellcasters mostly don't get extra actions, they do however get the next tier of spellcasting on odd levels, and the ones at level 5 are very good (fireball)

Just starting Act 3 but the difficulty has been up and down for me. The hardest part of the game was level 4 where you can get into encounters that are much more difficult because they're built for the power spike at level 5. The other thing is there's dialogue options or puzzle solutions that make things a lot easier. In the underdark, the Grymforge and Nale fights are the hardest in Act 1 but they both have things that make them way easier. Act 2 gives you TONS of these and you're also stronger, I think it's easier. Act 3 I hear goes different ways with difficulty depending on what areas you wander into.

Combat can also be very swingy, there was a fight in Act 2 that was a breeze for me because I could knock the enemies off a cliff, but because they can do the same to you it was hell for my friend. Or (end of act 2 boss) Ketheric is a hard fight that is designed to be manageable because they give you Arlin to be an overpowered helper, but in my attempt she got dominated immediately and slaughtered half my crew. Still recovered though but barely!

Mostly I think the difficulty is good considering 5e is not really well designed for balance

You gotta keep Speak With Animals on at all times, though if you aren't a caster you're kinda SOL

He's just like this, there were huge gaps between Tokimori/Cyberpunk/Boku too.

He keeps promising to reign in his perfectionist and crunch tendencies so either 1) he is failing and so the videos take longer to make or 2) he is succeeding and so the videos are taking longer to make
