For whatever reason every single DoT unit wants to go to level 10 on their actual dot trace. It's like a 30% damage increase over level 8 which is insane compared to the usual 10% or whatever.

So the drawback of being a Kafka main is being sentenced to live in the Nihility trace domain.

I started building mine because I apparently E6ed her at some point, but then noticed most of her Es are just damage boosts. And I was just like...wait is subDPS Pela real???

From the wording I saw it would trigger on the enemy's recovery turn which should mean they take dot damage then get delayed. But this is probably under revision. I guess we'll find out in a few weeks.

Basics of her kit, though this is all old so it could have changed.

Ult: Buff all allies weakness break efficiency (not effect) for an unspecified amount of turns, and enemies weakness broken by allies under this effect suffer double the break length.

People say Dan Heng is mihoyo's favorite child but at the rate Kafka stocks are rising she's going to be absolutely absurd when fully kitted out with investment and supports. We don't even have a second 5* dot unit yet!

Also I had it in my head that "Dr. Ratio" was a placeholder name. Incredible that it's real.

I have not touched this event at all and need to get on. I've pretty much bankrupted myself just from leveling and talents on Topaz and Guinaifen.

Debating whether it's even worth it to scrounge together a relic set for them while waiting for the next set to drop

50 pulls (from 10 pity from Lynx...I mean Fu Xuan banner, so 60 total) for Topaz which is pretty good. This is literally the first 50/50 I've won since game launch.

In those 50 pulls I got 1 Luka, 1 Guinaifen (in the same pull as Topaz no less), and 3 Sushang who I am absolutely never going to build as a Clara haver. So, could be better but absolutely cannot complain.

What is this relic ranking site people are using?

Went to switch Lynx to ERR rope to get her on the 3-turn (with aggro RNG) ult rotation and got reminded I have a grand total of one 5* ERR Fleet of the Ages rope.

Really don't want to use resin on a set I've probably farmed at least 50, maybe closer to 100 ropes from. But new planars are coming soon anyways...

Genshin hasn't increased its cap in 3 years so don't hold your breath

IMO, starting out you basically want two things from your 5* pulls:
1) A strong DPS unit
2) At least one, probably two sustains (Preservation/Abundance)

5* supports like Silver Wolf can also be very strong but for the most part, there are plenty of 4* supports in the game that are very strong and easy to make do with while we wait for more 5* ones to get released. Besides high eidolon Qingque, there's more of a gap in DPS effectiveness and certainly solo sustain units which are much harder to make work outside of the 5* options. So the current patch's banners of Jingliu, Topaz, and Seele are all good DPS options, and Huohuo in next patch is a sustain option. Luocha and Fu Xuan will rerun at some point too but we don't know when.

That said this is endgame focused advice where you eventually want two teams. You can get through 90% of the game pulling whoever you want.

I'd also say if you're deciding between Himeko or Clara accounts, I'd go with Clara. I use her as a sub-dps and idk if you can build her as a main, but she dishes out a ton of damage while being pretty tanky.

Do we know if Topaz wants Inert Salsotto over the new 2pc sets coming later? Idk what to use my double drops on atm. Worst case I keep trying for good Arena pieces for Seele.

Pulled a random Freminet from standard banner so I'm amusing myself by building him for shatter shenanigans.

Sucks that you have to go around murdering Fontaine's marine life for the pearl drops.

True, but with Guinaifen and Kafka (with Asta as support) I feel like I can probably brute force Fire DPS since Kafka lets you double dip on dots. That's pretty much what I do with Sampo and wind, when I can. I also have Himeko for sub-DPS who is...okay. Obviously Topaz would be a huge boon to her though.

Besides, my biggest element gap is ice so if I'm being strategic I should go for Jingliu. Which is tempting! But SW is equally so and would let me not care about weakness.

Honestly feeling less sure about going for Topaz. Though really I want the new 4* and some Luka cons for my Kafka team. Maybe I just go to the 50/50 and then dump the rest of my gems on Silver Wolf or Huohuo.

The real convenience is that I hate mashing the skip button for single pulls so I just wait until I have 10 anyways unless I am really close to soft pity (around 70 pulls)

I guess I can use my starlight to buy Gepard's LC instead? And then I'll have no more need for standard cones. Or just dump them all on wishes if I get close to pity

Felt pretty underwhelmed by the story quest and Topaz's appearance in it...probably getting burned out on the game. Might end up taking a break until Penacony actually releases.

The drop rate certainly isn't too high, but those mirror ones are pretty expensive each if you want to superimpose them.

I don't! They're mostly not very good. I got my S5 breakfast and don't really have a need for any of the rest.

They're the same ones you can get from the mirror shop iirc, so I don't even think it's worth it to burn energy on them if you don't need to

Well the swimming mechanics and passives actually give a decent reason to use Fontaine characters for ocean exploration. Freminet has swim stamina reduction, Neuvilette has a speed bonus, Lynette marks the recovery fish on your map etc. And you can clear the Pneuma/Ousia puzzles more easily.

Plus my overworld main has been Wanderer since his release, and he's great but honestly I could use a break from his fart noises.

This patch feels so slow just because I'm waiting for Furina to drop. Maybe also because most of my resin is going towards prefarming lol. But I don't even feel super motivated to explore the new area when I can wait and run around with some new characters (plus exploration queen Yelan ofc).

If you've never linked Genshin to any hoyoverse account for cross-platform stuff then there should be a way to do that because the game isn't locked to PS5 if you start there. But if you created two separate Hoyoverse logins you might be screwed. I'm not really sure though...you might have to go through support.

My account was already linked when I signed in to PS5, but I had started Genshin on phone and linked it via hoyolab, and also started Star Rail on phone. Idk. Have you tried linking your accounts on the website?

Honestly so much of this game is autobattling for me now that I'm only not on my phone vs PC when doing a major story quest.

I mean I'm definitely still getting it on PS5 for whatever free PS goodies they give out but I don't see that changing anytime soon

For a long time I didn't have any teams that could handle Azhdaha so I would do that boss exclusively in co-op, picking Diona and hoping my teammates would get in the god damn circle. They usually didn't but it was still better than going solo lol.

Besides that I haven't done much co-op at all despite all the achievements. I still don't have the co-op heart chest one which I think is the only thing holding me back from the platinum trophy on PS5!

OK so it's really looking like the new DPS Planar for that SU world is indeed going to be Space Station only the Speed Threshold buff is extra DMG instead of extra Attack.

....Which would make Space Station an irrelevant Planar.

My guess is the speed threshold will be higher than Space Station's 120 to account for this.

Well, hmmm, no that's not right, DoT characters would still want Space Station, so maybe that's the balance.

No way, ATK% is better than normal on DoT characters, but I highly doubt it's better than damage% multiplier, especially since you are most likely already running ATK-buffing supports with a DoT team. But it might be one of those things that largely comes down to which substats are better.

According to the most recent leak, it's a baseline 12% attack and then 12% damage at 135 speed, 20% at 160 speed. That seems insane to me. 135 speed is annoying to hit but more than doable with investment, 160 is (laughs in Asta). Did you know with Meshing Cogs, Asta can maintain 100% uptime on her ult? My girl stays winning.

From what I've gathered, small quests (including reputation quests) are worth 1 commission. AQ/Story/World quests might be more. Chests and oculi are worth 0.5 a commission each. And also redeeming event rewards gives anywhere from 0.5-1 idk, but that means you can complete event objectives and wait to redeem them to complete dailies.

You only get one NPC sidequest commission per day, and I think it's always the 4th one on the list, so what I've been doing is doing that quest and then getting exploration/quest credit for the rest.

If you're working on Inazuma, can you take the shortcut to Fontaine? I know they said they made one that lets you go from somewhere in Liyue provided you were early on in the line of your account, but I don't know any details because it's not there for me.

The teleport beacon right below the port of entry starts unlocked, I think. Not sure how far you have to be in the story for it but I think they added it for everyone so newer players can do events? Unlike Inazuma there's nothing stopping you from just walking there, even though it's a hell of a trip going through Sumeru.

Edit: looked it up and yeah, if you've completed the Mondstadt archon quests, it should open the teleporter on the map so just look through the void until you find it

I'm still waiting on beta news to figure out how important Neuvilette will be for Furina. I'm sure he will be good, but hopefully before his banner rotates out I have a good answer as to whether I'll regret missing him.

I feel like it'll be the other way around where Furina is good for Neuvilette but she'll have other team options too. Time will tell for sure.

From what I understand, Neuvilette's situation is that he is very strong individually but doesn't really have teammates that take full advantage of him? I'd imagine that will change though, kinda like how early Sumeru was.

Also yeah I haven't done the new world quest besides a little of the research institute but the 4.0 NK quests were seriously incredible

No it's even worse than that.

So in Star Rail it's a 75% to get the rate up and 25% to get a standard cone, right? In Genshin that 75% is split between two weapons, so it's a 37.5% to get the one you want. Now, if you get a standard weapon, you are guaranteed a limited one next 5*, but it can be either of the two.

Then there is a SEPARATE, banner-specific tracker (so it resets) where you pick the weapon you want at the start, and if you strike out twice it will give you that weapon as the third 5* roll.

It's a scam! Especially if they run a weapon you want with a really bad second weapon. Star Rail's is...well, it's still a scam but way less so.

Hopefully it at least converts the extra EXP to credits, because I could really use it! Still only halfway through 68 though.
