Shiny new technology, internet, computer, etc.. for someone in their 50s-60s, it's understandable that it will take time to get used to that stuff. And that's assuming they want to get used to it at all. You can't exactly blame them for that when they're a few years away from retiring and don't want to change their ways because there was no need to. That's just their mentality. And pre-covid, it didn't matter. They could do everything just fine and the system would work. Nowadays though there's no excuse. After three years of online-only courses, there's no excuse. it's like, picture a drama like game of thrones where you have a few different key "parties," each having their stories told a few scenes at a time throughout an episode. e.g. starks, lannisters, and targaryens. you learn about the key people involved with each, their stories, and the intra-family dynamics. as those stories are told, they gradually intertwine with other families, directly or indirectly, leading to great television. picture that, but with fight scenes that are fucking awesome hand-to-hand combat instead of basic sword/shields or gunfights where there are cuts every half second. --- St. Louis Battlehawks (7-3) |

when i first read the topic title, i was picturing youtube TV vs. cable. in which case i was like, eh, it's probably better but i really don't know that much about youtube TV, but the bar for cable is so low that it HAS to be better, right? then i thought it over a little more and was picturing youtube vs. cable. in which case, i was like, what kind of fucking question is that? absolutely youtube is better. anyone who's stayed in a hotel in the last several years should agree that cable is a complete and utter meme - shit programming, sped up programming to make room for more commercials, programming littered with ads, fucking LOUD commercials compared to the programming... it's unwatchable. however, if you're talking youtube vs. TV, and "TV" INCLUDES streaming, then it's TV. depending on one's tastes, i could see picking youtube, but there is so much elite television out there that i have no idea how one could choose youtube for any reason other than the price tag. --- St. Louis Battlehawks (7-3) |
