By and large, I support smaller government and fiscal responsibility. If anything, I'm probably more of a Libertarian, but since any attempt at a more-than-two-party system in this country falls apart before it even starts, I stick with the party that represents the majority of my views for voting. Have I voted for things proposed by Democrats? Absolutely. But, as the Democrats generally look for further strengthening the government's control over things, I oppose that, and the Republicans generally have a viewpoint of at least limiting the control to some extent - though I don't think it's enough, personally. I just think that of the two evils readily available, I personally feel the Republicans offer less evil, and I support your right to disagree with that.

Yes. The way liberalism enables fascism is a massive problem. This childish idea that we should be fair and play by the rules when our opponents are bad faith actors who exploit that mentality has to go. Republicans do all sorts of shit but when dems call them out the GOP cries about civility and the dems almost always back down.

"Pause". Go to something you can highlight like a weapon or whatever, hit whatever button is displayed to bring up the "Help" menu, then do "Menu explanation". I've got Vyke stuck in place burning right behind me atm.

So really it's any time you can bring up the "Menu explanation" prompt.

ER's is more of an exploit though, it abuses the way the game freezes when a tutorial pop up happens. You open your menu and bring up the Help tab with whatever button that is and while that prompt is up the game is frozen.

The game is meant for seamless multiplayer. You can't really "pause" CoD either. And if you turn off multiplayer, you don't really need to pause because nothing spawns on top of you in these games.

I do think its a valid complaint that you can't pause while multiplayer is off, but I mean, treating it like the end of the world and trolling over it, over any feature, is going to lead to a reaction in any gaming community. It feels like a lot of these complaints are things where you trolled and are holding up the fact that the community responded to your trolling as an example of how bad the community is. No one can really point to anything that the community actively does without any action from them first as to why the community is "bad" though.

Like, if we are going to talk about toxic gamers, the gamers that go to games they don't like, and start demanding features or changes to gameplay to suit their needs when the vast majority of the community within that game is happy with it the way it is, are the real toxic community. Your entire purpose is to shit on something someone likes. That's bad. I don't like sportsball, but I don't go to the sportsball forums and start pissing on their games. Its fine they like something I don't. Understanding that is a step to becoming a mature human being.

I find the Elden Ring fanbase toxic, but a lot of the complaints I have with the fanbase I also find in other super popular franchises like Call of Duty and League of Legends, it's just super popular so you're more likely to find toxic people in it. The most annoying thing about Elden Ring fanbase is the only fanbase I know that argues any form of QoL will destroy their game, like holy shit I've seen it too many times even here on CE lol.
