Most of his movies are great. I can completely understand people not being down with his style, but you can't deny that he has the style.

Speaking of Rob Zombie movies, House of 1000 Corpses really grew on me. I didn't care much for it at first, but my best friend loves it so I've ended up watching it many times and came to liking it. I like the weird music video-esque style it had. Both Bill Mosely and Sid Haig were amazing in it and The Devil's Rejects, which is even better.

Guy felt like a walking plot device and he was the worst part about his own episodes (Nog, Bashir when they went to that Skirmish)

Hell arguably the best Jake episode was the one were they got Tony Todd to play him

He wasn't the greatest character for sure, but I never had an issue with him. For me, I never cared much for Jadzia for some reason. Could be different on a rewatch though. It's been a long while.

Doesn't help that it's basically mainstream American conservative ideology at this point. Not all of them are stupid, though that's a small number, but all of them are assholes for sure.

Most likely a biased poll and all, but too many Americans are still that fucking stupid in general, especially conservatives. If they're not stupid, they're just assholes.

I feel like the sneaky middle finger in Trek happened before, but I can't remember when it happened, if I'm not just wrong. Always liked him on DS9. Never watched Gotham, but I've seen a couple of the scenes of him in it and he's almost perfect for Ra's al Ghul. Wish he could play him again in a different show/movie.

What's wrong with Jake?

Phil and April were great. Dico was hilarious and weird. Bam is Bam. Ryan was cool. Raab was fine. Rake was just there and seemed to be lowest I'm the totem pole, so to speak.

Don Vito was a creep, but he was hilarious on the show and probably the best part of it.

I'm imagining one of Picard's great speeches, like the one in The Drumhead, but with a heavy stereotypical French accent.

That's neat. I rarely ever went to Blockbuster. Went to the local store for the longest ($1 for any old movies for 5 days) and then Hollywood Video, which I eventually worked at.

The only vets I'd ever thank for "fighting for freedom" are WW2 vets and even then it would still be a crummy and entitled opinion to have to expect people's thanks. Every other war past it was just imperialist BS. I feel more sorry than anything for Vietnam vets who got drafted and there's still an asterisk for that given the various messed up human rights violations that went on over there, but that could be said about every war.

It's not as big of a thing as it used to be. It was worse years and years ago and manual elitists would say the dumbest crap about people who preferred automatics (lazy, can't really drive, calling them babies and children, etc.). Now though, it's true that the topics are mainly people complaining about something that doesn't really happen anymore.

Transmission snobbery is dumb either way. Thankfully there's been a lot less of it over the years. I'd always asked the people who were hardcore against automatics if they still hand crank their engines. Don't see the point in looking down on people who prefer manual either.

Seems like a reasonable reaction from the library board to being bitched at by people worried that their kids are going to read things they dont approve of. Essentially If you want to hassle us about your kids having access to books you might not like then you bring them in and watch over them yourself. It sucks that they have to deal with that idiocy and some kids are going to be worse off because of it.

Or they could just not do that and tell these right wing morons to go piss up a rope.

Just thought of another with Twin Peaks: The Return.

Was my first thought for some reason. The series in general isn't kind to kids/young people. Technically Laura Palmer was underage when she died.

I still can't get the hang of 2k23, but it's also the first basketball game I've played since NBA Jam.

The Contest is among the best and The Soup Nazi is a great one, but I wouldn't put it in my top 5, but mine's probably weird. Haven't really thought about it.
