As I scroll down the video comments, it starts to look like Diablo fans are angry at what the devs look like, not how they play.

They are angry at both, but the looks are an easier target. If you go on reddit and the battle net forums its mostly their lack of skill

That's one of the problems when corporations get too big. Each of the roles get too specialized and you don't know what other people are working on.

It is kinda sad they didn't even bother to play their work after release though. I get maybe not everyone that work at Mercedes will drive a Mercedes, but D4 is just a game.

I don't think it's sad, it's just not a passion project for them, thats fine. My problem isn't with their skill, it's how tone deaf Blizzard is in uploading that after the huge controversy with their update lol.

One could say "They just wanted to talk about the designs of dungeons" which is cool, but probably in a different format than the one they gave us. As a gaming showcase it makes the game look extremely boring lmao

They aren't, and casual is a wide web, playing a game casually doesn't mean you have to be horrible at it. There are a lot of popular games out there that require more than pressing 1 button and people are fine with it.

the Barbarian class has been heavily nerfed, has issues with primary resource generation, and Blizzard gave them a pity buff last week that didn't really do all that much, on top of the community being convinced Blizzard doesn't play their own games with the horrible balancing they do in OW2 and D4

In this video, they play as a Barbarian, spam literally 1 button(so they have max resource for like 99% of the video) on the easiest difficulty, while being overleveled for it, and still struggle with it and even die. This is the video their PR/Community Manager decided to upload and thought it would be good.

Naturally, the reception to the video has been vastly negative.

If he's to be believed, then this is a smear campaign by Shadyvox, which is probably why a lot of the claims are flimsy
