Is it a foreign/international film that's receiving a US remake? That's a little different from just remaking a film for the sake of remaking it. Stuff like that happened with films like The Vanishing, Let The Right One In, and The Departed.

My dog (2002 - 2014) is still a semi-recurring figure in my dreams. It's great to see her again, but it hurts to wake up and remember that she's gone.

I wasn't honest with myself about her rapid decline. I assumed she had a few years left. Often, dreams will involve me either commenting on how much energy she has for a dog her age or else I'll realize in the dream what I didn't in real life: that she has a limited time left and I need to spend time with her.

Go show your dog some love if you have one.

Bring back the N64 Star Fox with a long muzzle and not the bell-shaped-head Star Fox that looks like Garfield the Cat.

If they had hopped on it quickly, they could have done a prequel-sequel starring a friend of Maximus. The first half of the film details their struggles together during the war. The second half focuses on the protagonist branching off on his own quest.

If you're Maximus and you've been through what he has, the first thought on your mind probably isn't, "Gee, I wonder what my old war buddy Joe is up to. I sure wish he were here right now. He'd break me out of this."

I don't know. When I lived at a house next to some renters who let their loud-ass dogs bark at 5:00 am, I distinctly remember saying to myself, "This is why I don't have a gun."

Seriously, they would leave those dogs out back to bark for 40 minutes straight. Eventually, they got the cops called on them. Afterward, their kids would let the dogs out for a brief bathroom break at 5:00 am before bringing them back in. I'm still glad to be out of that neighborhood. That border collie had a voice like a firetruck.

What's the book about?

It's a fantasy novel with a diverse cast. I don't really want to get any deeper than that because of some of the things I've posted here.

Yeah, kinda.

I was revising the first chapter of the book that I'm working on only to realizing I was worse off than yesterday. Like, I deleted key lines and had no idea where they went. I also had no backup, so it's just lost. I'll revise it tomorrow when I'm not as tired because right now my writing quality is just deteriorating.

On the plus side, I met the word count I'd hoped for and I've learned a couple of things. Like, yes, it's a good idea to have a backup for reference. Like, keep a Chapter 1 file and a Chapter 1 (Outdated) file. Then, if you get too cute in your revisions, you can always start over from where you were. Also, whereas a film is about seeing your way through a story, a book is about feeling your way through a story. I was trying to go back and detail establishing shots like I was writing a screenplay or something. As soon as I sleep to un-drowsy myself, I'm going to go back and rewrite that so that the descriptions have an emotional value instead of a superfluous visual quality. The reader isn't going to care what the town looks like if the opening paragraphs don't hook them.

I had a couple of Ws and an L today.

I had a dream that I was at Disney World and couldn't find my phone.

It was 4 pm on my third day of theme-parking and I had to leave the park early to catch a flight back home. I went back to the ninja-themed hotel to see if my cellphone was there, but I couldn't find. I retraced my steps through the park and thought maybe I had left it near the Harley Quinn meet and greet. She was telling a story about Batman and I noticed that the 9 pm fireworks were going off in the background. At this point, I was mad at myself for spending hours searching for my phone instead of riding rides.

There were so many inconsistencies with this one that I didn't noticed until after I woke up.

I just looked at the comments section and it seems like a LOT of people have had similar dreams.

I had one when I was a child where a Japanese woman -- a geisha, but I didn't have a name for that at the time -- attacked me with a knife. She grabbed me by the throat and pinned me against the wall. (I swear this wasn't a fetish dream.) I tried to kick her off of me, but she was absolutely made of stone.

Another dream had me fighting a shirtless, heavyset chef with two butcher knives. He chased me up a flight of stairs. I kept punching and kicking at him, but it had no effect. He didn't get a hold of me, so I guess maybe this one ended in a draw.

Then there was a dream I had about Invincible Demonic Children. They were undead children with blank white eyes and I actually *could* hurt them. But no matter what I did to them, whenever I entered or left a room, there they would be completely recovered. I'd throw them off of a balcony and be gasping with fatigue and stiff nerves. I'd look back to confirm that they had stopped moving. Then I'd walk through a door and they'd be standing there ready to try and attack me again.

For the most part though, I actually can make headway against opponents in dreams. I sometimes have weapons, super powers, or power-ups to assist me. But, yeah, I had no idea that fighting an opponent that couldn't be hurt was a common nightmare.

The majority of Republicans will continue to hate him blindly and many will make up lies to justify it. And a lot of Democrats want to believe that politics is as black and white as it could possibly be with no accountability necessary on their side. Don't get me wrong, the current state of the Republican party is fucked up. But if you think you can use "at least I'm not a Nazi" as a justifier for anything and everything, you're probably a little fucked up yourself.

It isn't obvious in a still image, but watching the ad in action leaves no room for doubt. He escapes from a noose, stops to tap the sleeping ogre woman's breast twice, then laughs like a naughty schoolboy before resuming his departure.

I've yet to see a State of Survival ad.

Not full penetration as far as I know. Looney Tunes legitimately had at least one rape joke in the 90s with the Casablanca parody Carrotblanca, but that was Yosemite Sam and some random prisoner.

The latest ad has the "hero" escaping from a giant ogre woman. On his way out, he gropes her breast. He gropes his captor's breast while she's asleep. Why do I get the feeling she didn't exactly consent to that? Current Year and they're advertising a game by having a character grope a sleeping woman and laugh about it.

Pepe Le Pew was panned for what his character reflected about society, not for his in universe actions. If the show made the viewers hate Pepe Le Pew, find his actions morally reprehensible, rather than funny, he never would have been panned.

I don't think you understand what actually happened here.

It seems a bit odd that rape would be considered okay as a character attribute so long as it isn't reflective of a culture. In the alleged cut scenes of Pepe Le Pew, they made it seem more like they were calling him out for being a creep rather than for disrespecting French identity. Though, seeing as I don't have a transcript of the missing scenes, it's possible they brought that up as well.

Either way, it's still strange.

Unicorn is terrifying for being a Galactus knock off... and man that movie really liked to whiplash it's emotional tone at times. It's hard to believe the season after the movie was so wacky compared to this

Galactus ripoff? I always thought he was a living Death Star. It's funny how I never noticed the Galactus comparison until now. He even eats planets. It just goes to show how sometimes things can hide in plain sight.
