I love how they got rid of Pepe Le Pew but kept cameos from Alex and his droogs from A Clockwork Orange.

And after going on a tangent about how inappropriate Lola Bunny was.

I saw an older movie today in the theater and, in-keeping with the tradition of the time period, they showed a cartoon short before the movie began. This one happened to be about Pepe Le Pew.

And, honestly, the humor seemed to be more based around him not understanding that she wasn't interested in him than it was about him actively disregarding her lack of consent.

I don't have a photographic memory of all things Pepe Le Pew, but I do seem to recall the cat would be into him if not for his scent. And this usually leads to him thinking that she's playing hard to get when she decides to run away after first giving him the go-ahead.

I'm not saying that the joke holds up. It just seems like the humor is based on him genuinely not knowing when he isn't wanted than it is him trying to force himself on an unwilling partner.

Guy Ritchie is directing a live action remake.

I don't know know if any of the cast have been announced yet.

Episode II was worse than Episode I.

Episode I at least had a good villain and a good fight scene. Episode II didn't even have that. It's cool that they got Christopher Lee, but that character he was given is about as memorable as a UPS deliveryman.

That's pretty random. Has that show even been available for viewing since it first aired? I remember liking the show and I even had some of the toys.

My father and brother got a good laugh out of me covering my eyes when we rented one of the movies and some dude got his hand ripped off.

I think mermaids would be part dolphin. It makes sense. Humans are mammals. Dolphins are mammals. Mermaids were inspired by thirsty sailors hallucinating when they saw schools of dolphins after being away from women for several months at a time.

I only saw the first three seasons, but Friendship is Magic was a fun show. I'd watch it again, and maybe catch some of the later seasons, if I had the chance.

Color choices are one of the basics in storytelling. It can set the tone, suggest character personality, etc. Even something as basic as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has this. The wise leader wears blue, the hothead wears red, etc.

If the curtains are blue, and the character is feeling melancholy, there's a 90% chance that the curtains are there to signify depression.

I'd be annoyed.

For someone to call me woke would mean that they're using it as a catch-all for anyone who isn't bigoted like they are.

Obviously not, but like you can pretty much stop making more of them. What happened to the French Bulldog is 100% humanity's fault and without consistent human intervention, they'd phase out in like a generation. It's not like they are naturally breeding in any meaningful way. Hell, they can barely breath on their own.

Destruction and selective prevention of procreation are ultimately the same thing. If the end goal is to be rid of French bulldogs because of health problems, wouldn't it make more sense to euthanize them and end their suffering?

I did something stupid and quit my job over pay without having another job lined up. Fortunately, I got hired for a higher paying job today. A better schedule too. I'm still a little nervous though. Like, I'll feel a lot better when that first paycheck comes in.
