Yes very much so. I had been following the development of the game back when the first teaser at the 2004 E3 came out and the board on gamefaqs was still called "Working Title". When the game came out I stayed away from the board until I beat the game because I didn't want to be spoiled anything after waiting for the game for years. And when I finally returned to the board, particularly the social board (back when the major games all had a companion social board to go with it) was ripe with Midna fanboys lol. That was kinda around the point where I stopped frequenting game boards unless I had specific questions about a game, and stuck mostly to the sports boards and CE/RI.

My first post in one of these topics, and it's funny how you don't think you'll be one of those dads but I feel like I gotta show him off because he's been so great the first two months we've had him (he makes 2 months on the 28th). I feel like we're gonna get interest when he gets to the toddler stage because that's how it goes right? But he's slept through nights well, we have to actually wake him up to feed him most of the time whether it's the wife nursing or me feeding him from the bottle she's pumped. Yes, never was much of a fan of sports games though I enjoyed double dash. But without online i dont think they would have kept me occupied for long.

There were some other GCN I wanted but could never find like the ocarina of time and majoras mask bundle, and Eternal Darkness.

Even then I would have ran through those and it would have collected dust regardless overtime. Thing was so useless after a while someone I knew referred to it as 'the little toaster that couldn't'.

The only flaw of the GCN's library was not being as good as the PS2. The PS2 was the GOAT console at least compared to it's contemporaries for any gen. The GCN still had a much better library than the XBOX imo. The hardware is a legit critique of the GCN, but I don't think the library is one, so I'm baffled when someone lists that as a con against the GCN.

Hate to be morbid but do you guys think Ozzy makes it to next year? I'm glad to see he's still doing stuff but I know he's had his share of health problems that's been catching up lately.

I played through the whole game before I really came on the board to see reviews of it. I never got any sexual vibes from her, she was just more of an imp creature to me that always gave you a hard time and then I came online and half the TP board was talking about how they wanted to fuck her lol

Yeah this was probably one of the biggest things that hurt the GCN. My uncle never even played video games but he bought a PS2 simply because it was a DVD player. He was a former baseball pitcher that got as far as the minor leagues so he did end up buying an MLB game but that's all he had, it was mostly just a DVD player for him. If the Gamecube had DVD compatibility I think the sales would have been better, even if it would have required a higher price tag. The GCN was what, $50-$100 cheaper? DVD players were going for more than that back then so a GCN+DVD player purchased separately were more expensive combined than just buying a PS2.

You mean online multiplayer? Because there were multiplayer games though yes it didn't really have much online support. The games I just listed were exclusives, or at least timed exclusives in the case of RE4 and maybe a couple others. There were still multi-plats you could get like the James Bond games or Tony Hawk games or sports games, and more that had local multiplayer.

I had a Gamecube and I loved it then and still do today. Plenty of great titles. Honestly the whole gen of PS2/GCN/XBOX was amazing for gaming. PS2 and GCN had plenty of amazing exclusives while XBOX only had a few good exclusives imo, but it had the best hardware by far and didn't require a memory card and was usually the best console to get the multi-plats on.

Surprised? No. Think less of them because of it? Yeah. Nothing worse than just trying to improve my chess game and then I go review a game I lose and the opponent takes the same amount of time for each move no matter how difficult or obvious they might be and the accuracy is like 99.

She wanted to play a game of chess against you. If she wanted to play against a CPU or an engine she could have just done that herself. But like I said, you do you man.

They only take action when they find it happens in rated games I'm pretty sure. They're just playing a casual game probably. But to me it's still kinda scummy to make her play the AI and tell her it's you because you're scared to lose or whatever other motive he has for this (to impress her?). Would be hilarious if she asks him to play an over the board game

My state (Louisiana) already implemented this. It is absurdly dumb and a waste of time. Not only can a VPN easily bypass it, but sites that are not based in the U.S. are under no obligation to follow such a thing so there are plenty of sites that are still freely open.
