It's so weird to see/hear the voices coming from the actors in real life.

A streamer once went off on my comment that Dark Cloud 2 was one of the best games on PS2, and she said that Dark Cloud 1 is better, and the only reason people like 2 more is because it has voice acting.

Some interesting facts:

- This was the first thing that coined the ubiquitous robot phrase "DOES NOT COMPUTE!"

- The robot's designation was 709, which may have the naming inspiration of Seven of Nine in Star Trek.

- The show was not only a bigger bomb than My Mother the Car, but was also involved in a scandal due to lead actor Bob Cummings willingly injecting sheep sperm and monkey gonads in an effort to keep up youthful appearances (but it actually turned out to be mostly meth, and he became an addict.)

It's a good indication of how long Elizabeth was around that it took me a few seconds to realize who the hell King Charles.

Not really anymore. I fell out of games and movies in my mid/late 20s, but after going back to school and started going to the gym, I picked them back up, and am just as much into them as I was when I was younger.

I sometimes wonder how often people try to trade recent imprints with basic titles (Wolverine #1) for big bucks thinking they're literally the first appearance of them.

Not anymore. When he was getting pushed to the moon, WWE was The John Cena Show. It was way worse than it is now with Roman. That always overshadowed any talent and goodwill he had. When he dropped down on the card and started doing the US Title open challenges, that's when people started coming around again.

Because Avatar wasn't actually a bad movie, just generic, while Spirits Within was actually bad.

Nor was Avatar a "ripoff" of anything. It's just that the story was so generic that it could be compared to like a dozen different works.

A.V. Club has been a shadow of its former self for years. Once it merged with Gawker, it became just another reactionary editorial site that's no different than Cracked.

Enix initially tried to merge with them as early as 2001, and backed off for several years because of how much the movie bombed.

Yeah, it was originally going by several song lyics/titles like Teenage Wasteland and The Kids Are Alright and going through shit trying with getting the rights, and just went with that after hearing the audiences call it that.

Remember when people thought Linkle in Hyrule Warriors was the start of something huge, and it turned out 1. She wasn't canon, 2. She was an air-headed klutz, and 3. She wasn't even a Link, but just falsely assumed she was because her name sounded like it.

The gameplay is definitely not worse. The only real low point for me was Ironwood.

Yeah, the combat is most definitely better than 2018. It's just that there's a lot of other stuff that brings it down a lot.

I'd say it's still worth playing, but temper your expectations going into it.
